PETITION FOR ALLOWANCE FOR SUPPORT
AND EDUCATION OF WARD.
TO THE HONORABLE P.V.MARINO,PRESIDING JUDGE OF SAID COURT:
The petition of MELLON NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY
respectfully represents:
1.That your petitioner was duly appointed Guardian
of the Estate of Robert J.Richmond,a Minor,by Decree of the
Orphans'Court,division of the Court of Common Pleas of
Washington County,Pennsylvania,dated September 17,1971,at
No.945 of 1971.
2.That the said Robert J.Richmond is 18 years of
age having been born on the 9th day of April 1953,and that he
resides with his parents,James D.Richmond and Shirley J.
Richmond,at Box 321 Claysville,Washington County,Pennsylvania.
3.That the estate of said minor now in the hands of
your petitioner consists of the following:

4.The parents of the minor are unable,financially,
to provide all funds necessary for his further education.Said
minor is desirous of continuing his studies and better equipping
himself to earn a living in later years.Pursuant to this
desire,he enrolled with Robert Morris College of Pittsburgh,

pennsylvania,beginning his first year in the school year,
1971-1972.
5.That the said parents are able to provide for
tuition,costs and additional expenses but are unable,without
hardship,to pay the $450.00 per semester,room and board
charges.
6.The said ward shall attain the age of twenty-one
years on April 9,1974,at which time said trust shall terminate
and the proceeds paid over to him.It is therefore requested
that the Guardian be authorized to payout of said trust fund
the sum of $500.00 to the parents of said ward as reimbursement
for expenses paid in August of 1971 to Robert Morris College,
the sum of $500.00 to the parents of the ward for reimbursement
of expenses due January 3,1972 for the second semester and the
sum of $500.00 to the parents at the beginning of each semester
hereafter while said ward remains in attendance at Robert
Morris College upon proof to the Bank that said parents have
paid the prior semester costs of room,board and tuition
without further petition being made to your Honorable Court.
WHEREFORE,your petitioner prays your Honorable Court
for leave and authority to invade the principal and income of
this trust for the following sums to be applied as follows:
(a)To James D.Richmond and Shirley J.Richmond,
partial reimbursement for the first semester of the
school year,1971-1972 $500.00
~)To James D.Richmond and Shirley J.Richmond,
as partial reimbursement for the second semester of
the school yearz 1971-1972 $500.00
upon proof of payment of said expenses and your petitioner
further prays your Honorable Court for leave and authority to
invade the principal and income of said trust for the partial

payment of tuition,fees,room and board to said parents,in the
amount of $500.00 at the beginning of each semester hereafter as
long as the ward remains in school.
And your petitioner will ever pray,etc.

CHRIS VLACHOS,Attorney for the petitioner,it is hereby ORDERED
AND DECREED that the MELLON NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY,
Guardian of the Estate of ROBERT J.RICHMOND,a Minor,be,and
it is,hereby authorized to pay unto James D.Richmond and
Shirley J.Richmond the following sums upon proof of payment by
said parents of tuition,room and board at Robert Morris College
for each of the following semesters:
(a)The sum of $500.00 for the first semester
of the school year,1971-1972;
~)The sum of $500.00 for the second semester
of the school year,1971-1972;
(c)The sum of $500.00 at the beginning of each
semester hereafter provided s'citd!ward is enrolled at
that time;
the aforesaid payments to be paid out of the principal and
income of said minor's estate.And,in addition,the said
Guardian is authorized and directed to payout of the principal
and income of said minor's estate,a reasonable attorney fee
and costs in connection with the preparation,presentation and
filing of the within petition and order.

PETITION FOR APPOINTMENT OF A GUARDIAN FOR A MINOR
OVER FOURTEEN YEARS OF AGE
TO THE HONORABLE,o THE JUDGES OF THE SAID COURT:
AND NOW,this day of September,1971,comes
ROBERT J.RICHMOND,a minor over the age of fourteen years,by his
attorney,CHRIS VLACHOS,ESQUIRE,and respectfully represents and
sets forth as follows:
1.Your Petitioner,Robert J.Richmond,is a minor over
fourteen years of age and resides in Donegal Township,Washington
County,pennsylvania at the post office address Box 321,C1aysvill ,
Washington County,pennsylvania 15333.
2.Your Petitioner was born on the 9th day of April,
1953,and is now 18 years of age.
3.Your Petitioner is the son of James D.Richmond and
Shirley J.Richmond with whom he now resides.
4.Your Petitioner's parents consent to this Petition
as is shown by their consents attached hereto.
5.Your Petitioner requires a guardian for the
reason that he is to receive $8,200.00 as compensation for
injuries suffered in an automobile accident,said amouht being
in excess of that which can be distributedto your petitioner
or your petitioner's parents.
6.Your Petitioner proposes as the guardian of
his estate,Mellon National Bank and Trust Company,Main Streett
Washington,Pennsylvania.
7.The said proposed guardian has no interest
adverse to your Petitioner.
WHEREFORE,your Petitioner,Robert J.Richmond,a
minor over 14 years of age,makes choice of Mellon National Bank
and Trust Company and prays your Honorable Court to appoint
it guardian of his estate.
