PETITION FOR FAMILY EXEMPTION
TO THE HONORABLE,THE JUDGE OF SAID DIVISION:
The petition of Helen Chambers respectfully represents:
1.Your petitioner is the spouse of the above-named
decedent,who died on July 23,1971,a resident of North Strabane
Township,Washington County,Pennsylvania.
2.The decedent and your petitioner were married at
Canonsburg,Pennsylvania,by Rev.Edward Pikulik on October 27,1929,
and your petitioner was a member of the decedent's household at the
time of his death.
3.The decedent left a will,duly probated in the Office
of the Register of Wills of Washington County,Pennsylvania,a
true copy of which is hereto attached and in said will,as by
reference thereto will more fully appear,provided,inter alia:
"SECOND:All the rest,residue and remainder of my
estate,real,personal and mixed,I give,devise and
bequeath to my beloved wife,Helen Chambers,conditioned,
however,that in the event of her death in my life time,
or in the event of her death within the period of six
months after my death,the said devise and bequest of
residue shall lapse or be divested,and in either event,
I give,devise and bequeath my estate to my children,
Dolores Haggerty,Dawn Sorgie and Charlotte Church,
share and share alike."
4.Letters Testamentary were issued your petitioner on
August 19,1971,by the Register of Wills of Washington County,
Pennsylvania,and your petitioner is now serving as executrix of
the estate of the above-named decedent.
5.The contingent legatees above named:Dolores Haggerty,
Dawn Sorgie and Charlotte Church,now Charlotte Koblarchick,are all
sui juris and are in accord with the averments of this Petition and
the proposed Decree of Court hereto attached,their joinders and
consents being hereto attached.
6.An Inventory has not,as yet,been filed in the estate
of said decedent.
7.Among the effects of the estate of said decedent is a
certain 1968 Chevrolet station wagon bearing manufacturer's serial
number 154358U151294 and title number E19455858.
8.The fair value of the aforesaid Chevrolet station
wagon was at the date of the decedent's death the sum of $750.00,as
will more fully appear from the appraisements hereto attached.
9.By reason of the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Code
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,it is desirable that a prompt
disposition be made of the said vehicle and the title thereto be
transferred.
10.It is your petitioner's desire to retain the said
Chevrolet station wagon as a part of her widOW'S exemption under
Section 211 of the Fiduciaries Act of 1949,as amended,and that
the value of said vehicle be charged against,and deducted from,the
total widow's exemption in the amount of $1500.00,to which your
petitioner is entitled.
11.Your petitioner intends to claim the balance of her
widOW'S exemption from other assets of the estate at a later date.

WHEREFORE,your petitioner prays that the aforesaid
Chevrolet station wagon be set apart unto her as a part of her
widow's exemption to the extent of $750.00,and that the executrix
of said decedent's estate be authorized to execute,acknowledge and
deliver such documents which may be required to transfer the title
to said vehicle to your petitioner.

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
I,Chnrlc3 Rog0r Chambers,of North Strabane Township,
Washington County,Pennsylvania,do hereby make my Last Will and
Testament and revoke all wills by me at any time heretofore made.
FIRST:I direct the payment of all my just debts,funeral
expenses,cost of administering my estate and transfer inheritanc
taxes as soon as convenient after my decease.
SECOND:All the rest,residue and remainder of my estate,
real,personal and mixed,I give,devise and bequeath to my be-
loved wife,Helen Chambers,conditioned however,that in the
'~event of her death in my life time"or in the event of her death
within the period of six months after my death,the said devise
and bequest of residue shall lapse or be divested"and in either
event,I give,devise and bequeath my estate to my children,
Dolores Haggerty,Dawn Sorgie and Charlotte ~hurch,share and
share ali~e.
However,I declare it to be my intention that should my
said wife be living at the expiration of six months from the date
of my death"the estate hereby devised and bequeathed to her,
shall-vest in her absolutely and in fee simple,free of all
conditions.
THIRD:I direct my executor to payout of the income or
principal of my estate reasonable amounts for the support and
maintenance of my said wife as well as the reasonable expenses
of her funeral and grave stone should she die within said period
of six months as aforementioned.

Bank and Trust Company as testementary guardian of such minors;
and I do hereby expressly authorize and empmlJer'said guardian to
join with other persons interested in my estate in the sale or
sales of any real estate which may form part of my estate,in
its sole and absolute descretion and without securing an order
of court authorizing it to join in such sale or sales;and such
sale or sales may be made at such times,at private or public.sale,for such prices and upon such terms as it shall believe
advisable and to make,execute and deliver any deed or deeds
therefor,conveying title thereto in fee simple absolute,or for
any less estate,to any purchaser or purchasers thereof.
I do hereby nominate,constitute and appoint my Wife,
Helen Chambers,as executrix of this my last will and testament;
but if she should be deceased,or fail or refuse to act for any
reason then I appoint my daughter,Dolores Haggerty,as such
executrix,in her place and stead.

DECREE OF COURT
AND NOW,September ~1971,the within Petition
having been presented,together with the Joinders and Consents,
a copy of the Will of the above-named decedent and two appraisements,
upon consideration thereof,the Court hereby confirms the appraise-
ments and grants the prayer of said Petition and does hereby set
apart for the use of Helen Chambers,her heirs and assigns,to the
value of $1$0·o~on account of her widow's exemption under Section
211 of the Fiduciaries Act of 1949,as amended,that certain 1968
Chevrolet station wagon bearing manufacturer's serial number
154358U151294 and title number E19455858,and does further authorize
the said Helen Chambers to make such claim as she may hereafter desire

Washington County,Pennsylvania,do hereby make my Last Will and
Testament and revoke all wills by me at any time heretofore made.
FIRST:I direct the payment of all my just debts,funeral
expenses"cost of administering my estate and transfer inheritanc
taxes as soon as convenient after my decease.
SECOND:All the rest"residue and remainder of my estate"
real"personal and mixed,I give,devise and bequeath to my be-
loved wife"Helen Chambers"conditioned however"that in the
event of her death in my life time"or in the event of her death
within the period of six months after my death"the said devise
and bequest of residue shall lapse or be divested"and in either
event"I give":devise-and bequeath my estate to my children"
Dolores Haggerty"Dawn Sorgie and Charlotte ~hurch"share and
share ali~e.
However"I declare it to be my intention that should my
said wife be living at the expiration of six months from the date

principal of my estate reasonable amounts for the support and

sales of any real estate which may form part of my estate,in
its sole and absolute descretion and without securing an order
of court authorizing it to join in such sale or sales;and such
sale or sales may be made at such times,at private or public
sale,for such prices and upon such terms as it shall believe
advisable and to make,execute and deliver any deed or deeds
therefor,conveying title thereto in fee simple absolute,or for
any less es~ate,to any purchaser or purchasers thereof.
I do hereby nominate,constitute and appoint my wife,
Helen Chambers,as executrix of this my last will and testament;
but if she should be deceased,or fail or refuse to act for any
reason then I appoint my daughter,Dolores Haggerty,as such
executrix,in her place and stead.
