PETITION FOR OPENING OF SAFE DEPOSIT BOX
To the Honorable, the Judges of the said Court:
AND NOW, comes ROBERT HALE, who, being duly sworn according
to law, deposes and says:
1. He is the adult son• of Simon Hale and Ida J. Hale,
deceased.
2. The said Simon Hale resides at 507 Wayne Street,
Washington, Pennsylvania, and the decedent resided at the same
address until her death on June 1, 1971.
3. The said Simon Hale and the decedent are the joint owners
of Safe Deposit Box E-14 in the Pittsburgh National Bank of
Washington, Pennsylvania.
4. The said Simon Hale is physically and mentally incapacitat d
from taking action necessary to open the said box.
5. It is believed that the decedent placed in the said
Safe Deposit Bpx instructions concerning her funeral and burial.
It is also believed possible that there is a Will in the said
box.
6. Your petitioner has been informed by the officials of

the Pittsburgh National Bankthat under the circumstances, an
Order of Court is necessary to enter the box and to search for
those documents.
WHEREFORE, petitioner prays your Honorable Court to issue
an Order directed to the Pittsburgh National Bank to admit
him, along with an officer of the Bank, to the box to search
for the said documents.

AND NOW, this ~day of June, 1971, on consideration
of the within petition, the Pittsburgh National Bank is directed
to permit Robert Hale to open the box standing in the name of
Ida J. Hale and Simon Hale ~r the purpose of looking for
and removing a Will and any written instructions concerning the
funeral and burial of the said Ida J. Hale. An officer of the
Bank is to accompany the said Robert Hale in the execution of
