PETITION FOR APPOINTMENT OF
GUARDIANS OF THE PERSONS OF
MINORS UNDER THE AGE OF FOURTEEN YEARS
TO THE HONORABLE,P.VINCENT MARINO,JUDGE OF SAID COURT:
The Petition of RALPH WRIGHT and BETTY WRIGHT,
his wife,respectfully represents:
1.Your petitioners,RALPH WRIGHT and BETTY
WRIGHT are husband and wife who reside at 689 McClane Farm
Road,Washington,Pennsylvania,which place of residence is
in Chartiers Township,Washington County,Pennsylvania.
2.One of your petitioners,BETTY WRIGHT,was
the mother of Carol Tanner,who died on August 12,1970.
3.The said Carol Tanner left surviving her
two minor children,namely,Ronald Tanner,who was born on
March 25,1967,and who is presently three years of age and
Traci Tanner,who was born on November 1,1969,and who is
presently one year of age.
4.The father of the said Ronald Tanner is
Michael Tanner,who had been divorced from said Carol Tanner
prior to her death..~;

5.The said Traci Tanner is illegitimate,
but who is being supported by her natural father through a
court order of support.
6.Following the death of the said Carol Tanner,
your petitioners have provided the said Ronald Tanner and Traci
Tanner with a home,care and love,and have provided all things
which are required from parents.
7.The said Michael Tanner,father of Ronald
Tanner,has abandoned and neglected to provide a home,care,
love or support for the said Ronald Tanner or the said Traci
•
Tanner.
8.Your petitioners are informed and believe
that both the said Ronald Tanner and Traci Tanner are the
victims of an incurable disease which is usually fatal prior
to the age of sixteen (16),and have been providing both of
said children with the necessary medical and home care for
said condition.
9.Your petitioners have been informed by one
Dr.Friday that proper hospital care is mandatory for the said
Ronald Tanner and when the said petitioners sought to have him
admitted to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania,
he was refused admission because your petitioners h~d no legal
authority to act in loco-parentis.
10.Your petitioners are further informed that
the same condition may arise with respect to the other child,
Traci Tanner,in the near future.
11.No Guardian of the persons of said minors
has been appointed.

12.Your petitioners believe that an appoint-
ment of Guardians will be in the best interest and welfare of
the said children in that they will be able to provide said
children with a home and the necessary care and love,as well
as have said children admitted to hospitals when such becomes
necessary •
13.Your petitioners have no interests adverse
to the said minor children,and are not fiduciaries or officers
or employees of any corporate fiduciary of an estate in which
said minors have an interest,or the surety or an officer or
an employee of the corporate surety of such a fiduciary.
WHEREFORE,your petitioners,RALPH WRIGHT and
BETTY WRIGHT,pray your Honorable Court to appoint them as
Guardians of the persons of Ronald Tanner,a minor,and Traci
Tanner,a minor,until such time as they are relieved thereof
by the Court,or until said minors arrive at the age of twenty-
one (21)years.

forth in the foregoing Petition are true and correct to the

within Petition for the appointment of Guardians of the persons
of Ronald Tanner,a minor,and Traci Tanner,a minor,both under
the age of fourteen (14)years,having been presented to Court,
the Court upon motion of Greenlee,Richman,Derrico &posa,
Attorneys for the Petitioners,does hereby appoint RALPH WRIGHT
and BETTY WRIGHT,his wife,to be the Guardians of the persons
of Ronald Tanner,a minor,and Traci Tanner,a minor,both under
the age of fourteen (14)years,until such time as they are
relieved thereof by the Court,or until the said minors shall
arrive at the age of twenty-one (21)years,whichever shall
first occur.No Bond shall be required of the Guardians.
