PETITION FOR SETTLEMENT OF
SMALL ESTATE
TO THE HONORABLE,THE JUDGES OF SAID COURT:
1.The name of your Petitioner is Isidore E.Verk~
1eeren,Jr.,who resides at 25 Shady Avenue,Borough of Charleroi
Washington County,Pennsylvania,
2.Ida M~Lucedied September 19,1970 of the age of
81,a resident of the Borough of Charleroi,Washington County,,.
Pennsylvania,intestate and leaving to survive her two (2)
children both of whom are sui juris,namely,Florence L.Verk"
1eeren,of the Borough of Charleroi,Washington County,Pennsy1-
vania,and Woodrow Luce of the Borough of Jeannette,Westmoreland
County,Pennsylvania.
3.The only assets of which the said decedent was
seized,were two (2)policies of insurance as follows;National
Western Life Insurance Company in the amount of $..;,...5..0,.;;.0......0....0------....,
and American Life and Accident Insurance Company,in the amount
of $500.00
On neither the National Western Life Insurance Policy
No.0210119006,nor the American Life and Accident Insurance
Policy No.0-628247,was any beneficiary named to which the
proceeds might be legally payable.
4.Your Petitioner avers and sets forth that the
assets named in the foregoing paragraph consists of the whole
and entire assets of the decedent's estate.
5.That your Petitioner,who is the son-in-law of
the decedent,has assumed the payment of all expenses of the
estate which are itemized as follows:
a.Funeral expenses due
Ferguson Funeral Home
b.Marker inscription
c.Attorneys fee
d.Registers
e.Notary Public

The expenses are greater than the amount of the
decedent's estate and your Petitioner will assume payment of
any excess expenditures of the estate.
6.There are no other persons interested in the estate
except those named in this ,petition and no outstanding debts or
expenses,in addition to those which have been itemized herein.
7.No formal proceedings of probate have been begun
nor contemplated or required.

WHEREFORE,your Petitioner prays your Honorable Court
to award the assets of the estate,itemized herein,to your
Petitioner for payment of expenses of the decedent and he will
ever pray,etc.

AND NOW,this I~day of November,1970,the fore-
going Petition having come before this Court,upon motion of
Melvin B.Bassi,Esquire,the same is directed to be filed and
the following assets which are itemized in the Petition,consist-
ing of all the proceeds from National Western Life Insurance I
Company,Policy No.0210119006,in the amount of $500.00,and
proceeds from American Life and Accident Insurance Company,
Policy No.0-628247,in the amount of $500.00,be paid to
Isidore E.Verkleeren,Jr.,in payment and repayment of all
expenses paid and itemized in the Petition,annexed for and on
behalf of the decedent,Ida M.Luce.
