Filed with this Notation and the State Inventory are the following: 1).Letter of Equitable Life Assurance Society of U.S., in duplicate,dated November 19,1970,showing that on January 17,1969,they gave Mary B.Clark a check for $15,619.27,when she cashed in a policy on her own life (~ol.7-88l-856)-See also their statement of account in duplicate. 2).Copy of Record of Dollar Savings Bank showing Mary B.Clark gave them the check referred to in (1)and they depositei $10,619.27 of it for her in Pass Book 629662,and gave her back a cashiers check for $5,000.00,payable to her.Also letters of said Bank dated 10/6/70,and 11/10/70 showing title to said account and whole balance on date of death of Sarah Rebecca'Clark 3).Letters of Mellon B~dated 10/6/70 and 10/10/70, showing investment,by Mary B.Clark of $5,000.00,in Growth,.,Certificate GOOQ53 on January ,2~;'1969"'.and that to do so she gave them a cashier's check from DOllar Savings Bank,payable to Mary B.Clark,being check referred to in (2)and also giving balanoe on date of death of Sarah Rebecca Clark. 4)•Mfidavit 'of Eugene F.Riley,Senior Vice Pres.of 2nd-,Federal Savings &Loan of Pittsburgh,showing Savings Account No.10-2l8~;,was opened with money of Mary B.Clark,that she mad~ all later deposits ,out of her personal money,and showing the whole balance on date of death of Sarah Rebecca Clark. 5).Affidavit of Mary B.Clark as to whose money was deposited in all three accounts,the source of the money,account numbers and whole balances at death and that all the money in said accounts was her property.She has Pass Books and cancelled checks in her possession which may be inspected upon request. I,Adam L.Sanders,Attorney,wish to state that I have known Mary B.Clark and Sarah Rebecca Clark for over forty (40) years and have been their Attorney for twenty years,at least.I believe Mary B.Clark to be truthful.I personally know that Sarah Rebecca Clark took a child,a girl,into her home and raised her.Her name was carol Slavikosky,now Mohr.In her lat~ life,Sarah Rebecca Clark used most of any money she earned on the farm or received from the sale of a lot or tract off of the farm,for the support and education of this child.She simply did not have money to put into any of these accounts.Her Will gives 1/2 of her estate to this child,now married and a mother, and her two children.After the payment of her debts,the only asset in her estate will be a half interest in a 60 acre farm. For the reasons stated heretofore,corroberrated by affi- davits,letters and other proof,the three accounts referred to were~omitted from the State Inventory and should not be taxed.
