ORDER DIRECTING CORRECTION OF BIRTH RECORD
AND NOW,September 10,1970,it appears to the Court that
errors were made in the entry of the record of birth of Ernest L.Sword who
was born in West Pike Run Township,Washington County,Pennsylvania.
Proper evidence of his date of birth has been submitted to the
Court,to wit,a photocopy of a permanent page from the Family Bible Book,
indicating births in the family from the year 1863 to the year 1910;the
pho~ocopy shows that,among these births,Ernest L.Sword,who is the same
individual as the Ernest L.Sword in this proceeding,was born October 12,
1905.The said photocopy from the said Family Bible Book is hereto attached
and marked Exhibit "A".
There is also attached hereto and marked Exhibit liB ",a photocopy!
of a Designation or Cha?ge of Beneficiary which was addressed io the Railroa I
Retirement Board,Washington,D.C.The said designation or change of
beneficiary was dated,and sworn to,on August 10,1938,more than thirty

years ago;the said paper indicates the birth of Ernest Loyal Sword,who is
the same individual as Ernest L.Sword listed in the Family Bible,on
October 12,1905.
It is evident that an error has been made in the recording of the
date of birth of this individual,as the date of November 12,1905,was
probably the date of recording of the birth rather than the date of birth.
NOW,THEREFORE,IT IS ORDERED AND DECREED
that the record of the birth of said Ernest L.Sword recorded in the Office of
the Register of "Wills of Washington County,Pennsylvania,in Birth Record
or Volume No.3,Page 233,Item 25,shall be corrected as follows:to show
the birth of said~Ernest L.Sword to be on October 12,1905,that the birth•f '..

was in West Pike Run Township,and that the correct name of the individual
is Ernest L.Sword;that all other matters recorded in sai d birth record
shall remain as heretofore;that a notation shall be entered in said Docket,
in red ink,showing the authority of the Clerk to make said corrections by
citing this Order.
