"knowing quite"~ure,why lie went int9 that particular room.He had
forgotten in that short period of time why he was doing this particula
act.Ho~ever,in general his heart is good,his blood pressure has
been well maintained.He is on as much medication as we ft'€.:e.l is
possible to 1tr'¥:l£o improve his memory,improve his circulation.
11I0wever,it has not improved hardly at all by the,medication.
Q W~th referenc~to a prognosis,what can you,tell us about that?
A In general,I would think he's been on his medication for sufficient p riod
of time that I.think it would be 'very unrealisticeto think that he would

With reference to his business affairs,can you tell us how he has bE en
managing those lately?
Well,he hasn't been to the bank since April.And the bills and the
checks are just lying in a pile on his desk.And I have been there
and I've always taken him ..I woqldn't say always,but for about ten
years I've taken him to the ba~,you know,when he needed to do hi1:

-banking.And in the last five months,I've been there 20 or 25 times

and waited at least an hou'r and he -would come out of his room and hE

The petition of Cathyrn M.Arr.old respectfu lIy represents:
I.That the petitioner is a dau~~hter of George S.McPeake,and resides
at 108 West Fairmeadows Drive,CJnonsburg,Washington.County,Pennsylvania.
2.That the said George S.McPeake because of mental and physical infirmities
or senility,is unable to manage his property,and/or is liable to dissipate it,or become
the victim of designing persons.
3.That the estate of the ~aid George S.McPeake is as follows:

TO THE HONORABLE,P.V.MARINO,PRESIDENT JUDGE OF THE SAID COURT:
The Petition of the MELLON NAnONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY,
Guardian of the Estate of George S.McPeake,an alleged incompetent, respectfully
represents:
1.That your Petitioner was duly appointed Guardian of the Estate of George S.
McPeake,an incompetent,by Decree of your Honorable Court,dated September 25,1970
at the above number and term.
2.That your Petitioner,as Guardian of the Estate of said incompetent has
the sum of ONE HUNDRED SIX THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SE.YENTY SIX and 47/100
($106,176.47)DOLLARS in his account.
3.That on October 2,1971,George S.McPeake,the incompetent,was
admitted to the South Hills Convalescenf Center,Canonsburg,Pennsylvania,where the
daily room rate is $28.00,plus medicine,doctor and miscellaneous needs.His yearly
expense at the Center will be approximafely $10,500.00.Your Petitioner has reviewed
additional items of expense with reference to the Real Estate and all the expenses
contingent therewith,such as ta~es,Fed:ral,State.and Local,and itds !=oncluded that
an additional $3,000.00 will be necessal1Y to cover the same.A total sum based on the
above calculations needed by the Petitio,.,er for the maintenance and support of the Ward
is THIRTEEN THOUSAND F.IVE HUNDRED and no/IOO ($13,500.00)DOLLARS.
