We do have one complication,Your Honor.I
think it's ID1.ferely a technical complication. When we fiied the Invent )ry
in this estate we listed the decedent's real estate as an undivided or e-

having an interest in his deceased brother's estate, which we listed
as a cash asset. Then when the estate of the deceased brother,Cal ,Tin,
first deceased brother, was audited, and the Court awarded to this

decedent in this estate with an undivided one-half interest instead
of an undivided one-third.So that although the Inventory shows
only an undivided cue-"th:itnd interest jor the purpose of ap;praisal1

Date of Death 4-7...70
Dear Mrs.Leo:
When the records in the above estate were examined,\1e
noticed t.hat 'both an original end an amended-appraisement had
been filed in too above captioned estate.
After oarefully rev1m-l1ng both appraisals it is apparent
that the Atnended return was filed to not only report additional
assets bUt also as an endeavor to correct the original appraise-
men1:s.
As we have explainea many times, the filing of an Amended
return for the purpose of adjusting or correeQ.1nq the original
record does not meet with tbe rules ana procedures of this
Department ..
However,in ortler to appropriately place the recorda of
this est.ate in order it \'1111 be necessary to take administrative
action and authorize the changes as follows:
(a)Delete item #10 from SchedUle B of the original
return filed November 25,1970,and Withdraw t'.he
appralsed sum of $2,840.95,since the contribution
'to maintain the assets of the interest in tbe Esta.te
of Leonard S.DaVidson 'has been properly set forth
ana appraised as real estate in the second return ofJanuary20,1971.
(b)This makes a re&1et1on in the total amount shown
for Schedule liB"from $12,522.97 to $9,682.02,and
the total Gross Assets correapondtnglyre4uc$S to
$24,073.56.
