my intention that should my said wife,Bernice B.Carter,be
living at the expiration of three (3)months from the date of
my death,the estate hereby devised and bequeathed to her shall
vest in her absolutely and in fee simple,free of all conditions.
ITEM 4:Should my wife,Bernice B.Carter,pre-
decease me or fail to survive me for a period of three (3)months,
then after payment of her burial expenses and the erection of a
proper marker over her grave,I give,devise and bequeath the
residue of my estate as follows:
(a)I give and bequeath my household
furniture and furnishings in equal shares unto my four (4)children,
namely:Robert L.Carter,Elden D.Carter,Larry G.Carter and
Gayle McDonald to be divided among them as they shall select.
whatever kind and wherever situate,I give,devise and bequeath

Robert L.Carter and Elden D.Carter,in equal shares,my home
farm situate in Mount Pleasant Township,Washington County,
Pennsylvania,containing 164 Acres,more or less,which was
conveyed to me by my Father,Robert L.Carter;subject however,
to any encumbrances existing at the time of my death,and subject
further to the payment by my said sons,Robert L.Carter and
Elden D.Carter,to my son,Larry G.Carter and my daughter,
Gayle McDonald,of the sum of Seventy five hundred and no/IOO
"($7,500.00)dollars each within two (2)years after my death and
I hereby expressly charge said legacies as liens against said
tract of land until said legacies are paid in full.
(c)All the remainder of my estate of

any jurisdiction.
