PETITION OF ADMINISTRATORS FOR
DECREE FIXING BOND FOR SALE
OF REAL ESTATE
TO THE HONORABLE P.VINCENT MARINO,JUDGE OF SAID COURT:
The Petition of JOHN W.Al~DERSON and OTTO F.ANDERSON
respectfully represents:
1.That EFFIE MATILDA Al~DERSON of Coal Center,Wash-
ington,County,Pennsylvania died intestate on January 5,1970.
2.That L~tters 6fAdministratiQn on her Estate were
issued to your Petitioners by the Register of Wills of Washington
County,Pennsylvania on January 20,1970.
3.That by deed dated August 15,1961,of record in
Deed Book Vol.1109,page 570 Washington County Records,Katherin~
Lauderback and William S.Lauderback,her husband,conveyed to
Effie Matilda Anderson the followir.g described property:
ALL that certain lot ·of ground situate on
Water.Street in the Borough of Coal Center,Wash-
ington County,Pennsylvania,bounded and described
as follows:
BEGINNING at the eastern corner of foundation
wall of the property formerly known as the Aubrey
Property,now the property of A.Rocco,situate on
t:k westerly side of Water Street:thence southwest
One HUndred (100)feet to an Alley:thence eastward-
ly alQng said Alley Twenty-one (21)feet nine (9)
inches to lot formerly of William H.Hornbake Heirs,
now of Shuttleworth:thence by line of said Shuttle-
worth lot One Hundred (100)feet to Water street;
thenc~westwardly along said Water Street Twenty-
one (21)feet nine (9)inches to the corner of the
heretofore known Aubrey foundation wall,the place
of beginning.Upon the same is a two-story dwelling
house.
4.That due to the prolonged illness of the decedent
the aforesaid property became sadly in need of repairs;and
after her death was vandalized and substantially damaged by
intruders.
5.That attached hereto as Exhibit "A"is a certified
copy c£the Washington County As.sessment.
6.That attached hereto as Exhibit "B"is a copy of
receipt showing that the funeral bill has been paid in full.
7.That after full investigation of the above describe
Real Estate,the Department of Public ,Welfare of the Common-
wealth of Pennsylvania accepted a settlement of $275.00 in full
payment of a $2,000.00 judgment as will more fully appear by
reference to Exhibit:'C"attached hereto and made part hereof.
8.That the judgment and all debts due to the Depart-
ment of Public Welfare has been paid in full and satisfied as
will more fully appear by reference to Exhibit "D"attached
hereto and made part hereof.
9.That all debts of the decedent have been paid in

10.That your petitioners have received a bid of
.~$350.00 from Jerry w.Smith and sandra K.Smith,his wife,for
the purchase of the above described Real Estate,the proceeds
of which sale will be used to pay the Department of Public Wel-
fare o=bt and all costs in connection with the sale of said
Real Estate.
11.'J:~.u.:':''there is no usable or saleable personal
property in the Estate.
12.That your petitioners have already filed with the
Register of Wills a bond in the amound of $1,000.00 with the
u.S.Fidel,ity and Guaranty Company as surety.
~mEREFORE,your Petitioners respectfully request that
they be excused from filing any additional bond in connection
with the sale of the aforesaid Real Estate.

within petition,upon consideration thereof and upon motion of
George J.Modrak,Attorney for the Petitioners it is hereby
decreet.and '.ordered that the Administrators,John W.Anderson
and otto F.Anderso~,be excused from filing any additional bond
in connection with the proposed sale of the Real Estate described
in the aforegoing Petition.
