Russell Marino , Register for the Probate of Wills and Granting
Letters of Administration in and for the County of Washington, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
the last Will and Testament of
Charles B. Crabb
late of Borough of North Charleroi in the County aforesaid, deceased,
(a true copy whereof is to these presents annexed), was duly admitted to probate; and
William E. Crabb
the Executor 111 said Will and Testament named, having appeared before me and taken and subscribed
the oath of office pre.scribed by law;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Russell Marino , Register as aforesaid, do
grant these LETTERS TEST AMENT AR Y, unto the said
William~.:m:. Crabb
committing unto Him the administration of all and singular the goods and
chattels, rights and credits, which were of said deceased, and requiring Him
. to exhibit a true and perfect inventory thereof into the Register's Office, at Washington, within ninety
days from the date hereof, and to render a just and true account of said administration at the expiration
of six months from the date hereof, and to regard and comply with the provisions of the laws of this
Commonwealth relating to inheritance taxes.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and the seal
of said Office at Washington, this 28th.

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
I, CHARLES B. CRABB, of the Borough of North Charleroi,
Washington County, Pennsylvania, do hereby make my Last Will and Testa-
ment and revoke all Wills heretofore made by me.
FIRST: I direct the payment out of my estate of the expenses
of my illness and funeral.
SECOND: All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate,
real and personal, I give, devise and bequeath to my wife, Marion A. Crabb,
her heirs and assigns, conditioned, however, that in the event of her death
in my lifetime, or in the event of her death Within the period of six months
after my death, the said devise and bequest of residue shall lapse or be
dives.ted, and in either event, I give, devise and bequeath the said residue of
·my estate to my son William E. Crabb., his heirs .and assigns. I declare it
to be my intention that should Marion A. Crabb be living at the expiration of
six months from the date of my death, the estate hereby devised and bequeath d
to her shall vest in her absolutely and in fee simple, free of all conditions. I
authorize my Executor to pay out of the income or principal of my estate
reasonable amounts for the support and maintenance of Marion A. Crabb and
as well the reasonable expenses of her funeral and gravestone, .should she
die within said period of six months.
THIRD: I constitute and appoint my wife, Marion A. Crabb as
Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament. If she is not ·living at the
time of my death, then I appoint my son, William· E. Crabb as Executor.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I, CHARLES .B. CRABB, the Testator
above named, have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this
1st day of August, A. D., 1959.

Dear Mr. Chaney:
We have your letter of February 10, 1970, advising of an
error on the Jointly Held Savings Account #7843, in the Charleroi
Federal Savings and Loan Association, Charleroi, Pennsylvania, in the
names of Charles B. Crabb or William E. Crabb. The account,
opened on April 10, 1966, had a balance of $5,250.00 at the time of
the decedent's death, so that only one-half or $2,625.00 was ~axable.
The above mentioned account was listed as fully taxable on
an appraisement dated September 16, 1969. Prior thereto Official

assessed at one-half.
Accordingly, you are hereby authorized to correct the
appraisement of September 16, 1969, by deleting the previously

An error bas been made on the appraisement in the above mentioned
estate. The joint bank account listed on the appraisement under
Jointly Held Property should be deleted from this appraisement .•
On February 13, 1969* William I. Crabb, the joint depositor, paid
on the "134" Form. on one-half of the bank Account; in the amount
of $2,625.00 ® 6%, $157.50. This bank account was opened April
10, 1966, so that only one-half was taxable.
The Official Receipt No. A033179.
The attorney reported the full amount of the bank account on the
appraisement filed in the Register of Wills Office on Aug. 12, 1969.
May we have permission to correct this error?
