PETITION FOR SETTLEMENT
OF A SMALL ESTATE
The Petition of Herman L.Shoup respectfully represents:
1.That the decedent,Leslie C.Shoup,died intestate
on November 20,1969 at Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania,a resident of
Wash~ngton County,Pennsylvania,at the age of 22 years.
2.The decedent was not 'married nor had any children
survive him but he was survived by his mother,Lorraine C.Shoup
and his father Herman L.Shoup.(the within petitioner).
3.The decedent left only personal property as follows:
(a)Check No.3663 -Bacharach Instrument Company -
Division of ABBAC Industries in the amount
of $250.09 for back wages.
(b)Check ,No.66772 -Bacharach Instrument Company -
Division of ABBAC Industries -Savings Bonds
refund in the amount of $45.50.
(c)Mellon Natio~a1 Bank and Trust Company -
hTashington -Checking Account -$15.00,more
or less.
(d)Check No.4117 -Bacharach Instrument Company -
Division of ABBAC Industries in the amount of
$76.78 for vacation pay.
4.There are no other known assets other than possible
refund for Federal Income tax which will amount to less than
$300.00.
5.There are no known debts in this estate.

6.Your petitioner has paid the funeral expenses to
Hummell Funeral Home in the amount of $1165.00 and for the grave
and grave opening to the Washington Cemetery Company in the
amount of $200.00.Therefore no inheritance would be due.
7.No Letters of Administration have been nor will be
issued on said decedent's estate.
8.Attached is the joinder ofLiS,r.ra:ine C.Shoup,the
mother of the decedent (and spouse of your petitioner),request-
ing the aforesaid amount be distributed to your petitioner.
WHEREFORE,your Petitioner prays that your Honorable
Court award the personal property to the undersigned,HERMAN L.
SHOUP,and also the refund of which might be due for the 1969
tax year for the decedent,and
FURTHER,your Petitioner prays the Court to authorize
him to file in behalf of the decedent's estate the necessary
forms for the 1969 Federal Tax Return and secure any possible
refund.

in consideration of the annexed Petition and in accordance with
the provisions of Section 202 of the Fiduciaries Act of April 18,
1949,P.L.512,as amended,the following property,to wit:
(a)The proceeds of Check No.3663 -Bacharach
Instrument Company -Division of ABBAC
Industries in the amount of $250.09,
(b)The ?r.oceeds of Check No.66772 -Bacharach
Instrument Company -Division of ABBAC
Industries in the amount of $45.50,
(c)The proceeds of the checking account at
Mellon Natnonal Bank and Trust Company in
the amount of $15.00,more or less,
(d)The proceeds of Check No.4117 -Bacharach
Instrument Company ~Division of ABBAC
Industries in the a-mount of $76.78,
~re awarded or distributed to Herman L.Shoup,and
Further,Herman L.Shoup is authorized to file the 1969
Federal Income Tax in behalf of the decedent and is hereby
cwarded the proceeds of any refund,if any,to re~-mburse himself
tor the expenses paid in the Petition.
