KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: Whereas, at Washington, in the County aforesaid
on the 25th day of September A. D. 19 67 , before me,
Josephine M. Douglas , Register for the Probate of Wills and Granting
Letters of Administration in and for the County of Washington, in t:he Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
the last Will and Testament of Maude M. Clokey
late of the Borough of East Washington in the County aforesaid, deceased,
(a true copy whereof is to these presents annexed), was duly admitted to probate; and
Martha E. Clokey
the Executor m said Will and Testament named, having appeared before me and taken and subscribed
the oath of office pre,scribed by law;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ·Josephine M. Douglas , Register as aforesaid:, do
grant these LETTERS TESTAMENTARY, unto the said
Martha E. Clokey
committing unto her the administration of all and singular the goods and
chattels, rights and credits, which were of said deceased, and requiring her
to exhibit a true and perfect inventory thereof into the Register's Office, at W Gl'shington, within ninety
days from the date hereof, and to render a just and true account of said administration at the expiration
of six months from the date hereof, and to regard and comply with the provisions of the laws of this
Commonwealth relating to inheritance taxes.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and the seal

I, MAUDE M. CLOKEY, of the Borough of East Washington, Washington County
~erlnsylvania, do hereby make my Last Will and Te~tament and revoke all Wills by .
'·-me at any time heretofore made.
FIRST: I direct that my funeral expenses and the expenses of my last
illness be paid as soon as may conveniently be done ~fter my decease.
SECOND: I give all of my household furnishings to my daughter, MARTHA E
CLOKEY.
THIRD: I direct my Executor to distribute among my children and grand-
children such of my dishes, silverware, jewelry, wearing apparel, books and pic-
tures as they may desire. c
FOURTH: I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter, MARTHA E. CLOKEY,
all my right, title and interest in and to a certain Agreement for the purchase
of tract containing l Acre 26 Perches, more or less, entered into with Emil Liker
and Audrey Liker, his wife, as well as all my right, title and interest in and to

the land whi~h is the. subject .of said Agreement, situate in Somerset and North
Strabane Townships, Washington County, Pennsylvania; 'and I further give, devise
and bequeath to the said MARTHA E. CLOKEY the portion of the property purchased
from Alfred H. Studa by deed of record in Deed Book 651, page 443, lying North of
the tract which is the subject of the Agreement with Emil Liker and Audrey Liker.
FIFTH·: I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter, MARTHA E. CLOKEY, my
interest in the Perry Gas Lease, including all income therefrom, and any interest
I may have in and to any other leases, it being my intention to give to MARTHA E.
CLOKEY all interests I have in any oil and gas leases.
SIXTH: I give to my daughter, MARTHA E. CLOKEY, all my interest in and
I to $3,000.00 invested in Wellington Fund and presen~ly standing in our joint names.
SEVENTH: All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, real and per-
sonal,· I give, devise and bequeath in equal shares to my children, HELEN ASHCRAFT,
MARTHA E. CLOKEY and SAMUEL J. CLOKEY.
EIGHTH: I nominate and appoint my daughter, MARTHA E. CLOKEY, Executrix
of this my Last Will and Testament.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and seal.this 27th day ~

MR. DONALDS<;:>N: If the Court please, I have-all the necessary papers
in this .estate. There are no unpaid creditors. There is to be dis-
tributed a half-interest in a tract of real estate and I have not
prepared a description as yet because there is a question about one
line and as soon as I have that resolved, I will g_ive the Court a
description for the real estate. All of the stock listed in the Inventc-ry
has been transferred and most of it has been distributed in kind.

Elections to take in kind are attached and also receipts are attached.
The receipts which are not att~ched c~ver th.e ~ational Union Fire ..
and Edgewater Steel stock. and also stock in the Washington County
Granger Exchange. This stock, very recently I ·got ;ii.thtransferred

to the children and I will get the receipts and give them to the Court.
• There was one matter which will cause the Court's
attention. And that is in the will there is a provision that the househc ld
goods. "I direct·my Executor to distribute among my children and
grandchildren such of my dishes. silverware. jewelry. wearing
apparel, books and pictures as they may desire." She didn't have
.mu~h to begin with. I think it was inventoried at $51.00 worth. The
Executrix has asked her brother and sister and also asked all of
the grandchildreJ;I to please come and select such items. And they
don't seem inclined to do anything with it. P.erhaps the answer is
they feel these few things either are of no value or they will leave
them there with their aunts. I don't have anything from them.
If the Court would like, I will try to get a statement from them
that they are satisfied with that .
THE COURT: I don~t think it will be necessary;;if they don't. call
to let their desires be known. I think that the articles can just be
left there.
MR. DONALDSON: As late as December 8, Martha Clokey again. she twas
in and signed the Audit Petit.i;oo and she told me that evening she was

again going to contact all of them and if any of them had any desires,
she'd let me know, and she didn't tell me a thing. So I assume it's
still the same.
