Davis Stewart, of Washington, County of Washington and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made. I direct my executors hereinafter named to carry out the written suggestions prepared and signed by my de- ceased husband, Dr. Robert S. Stewart, and those prepared and signed by me, in making distribution of the property bequeathed and devised to me by him and the property not devised and bequeathed to me by him; and I do will, bequeath and devise to the persons or corporations mentioned in those suggestions the articles, property and sums of money thereih mentioned and on the terms and conditions as are in those written suggestions stated. I do hereby make, constitute and appoint Osborn w. Hatr and Frank Stewart to be Executors of this my last Will and Testament. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I, Harriet A. Davis Stewart, the Testatrix above named, have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the 26th day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty three. Harriet A. Ira W. Ross Violet L. Ross ) I Harriet A (Davis) Stewart, do hereby make the following suggestions; Reference to which has been made in body of my Will, dated September 19, 1922. As to the carrying out of said Testament. 1st: I suggest that my brother J. L. Davis, shall receive the sum of $1500.00 Fifteen Hundred Dollars. 2nd: Suggest that each of my three nieces, Mrs. A. B. Hair, Mrs. Lucy A. Patterson and Mrs. Mary E. Hemphill shall be paid $1100.00 Eleven Hundred Dollars. Jrd: I suggest that my Grand-nieces Elizabeth J. Hair, Mary (Hair) Hughes and Margaret Hemphill, shall each receive $500.00 Five Hundred Dollars. 4th: Suggest $500.00 to my Grand nephew Osborne Hair. 5th: Suggest my Grand-Nephew Lyle Hair shall receive $800.00 Eight Hundred Dollars. 6th: To my nephew Willard White $500.00 Five Hundred Dollars. 7th: Suggest to each of my Nieces Ora Lee (Davis) Boudenhorn, &. Anna May Davis the sum of $100.00 One Hundred Dollars. 8th: Suggest $500.00 Five Hundred Dollars shall be given my Grand Nephew Frank White. 9th: Suggest $500.00 Five Hundred Dollars shall be given my Grand Nephew Jos. A. White. lOth: I suggest $1000.00 One Thousand Dollars shall be given my Grand-Nephew Robert Wylie Courson, in trust until he is 21J' years of age. 11th: To Rev. & Mrs. D. M. Thome, if living at my decease, $300.00 Three Hundred Dollars. If not living shall remain in my estate. 12th: I suggest that $500.00 Five Hundred Dollars be placed in hands Upper Buffalo C'emetery fund. Interest to be used for the care of said Grounds. 13th: Suggest $500.00 Five Hundred Dollars each to be paid to the Boards of Ministerial Relief, and The Board~Church Extension of the United Presbyterian Church of North America. Dated Sept. 12." 1922, as to the carrying out of said Testament. 1st. I suggest that The Board of Home Missions, Board of Foreign Missions, Board of Church Extension, also The Board of Ministerial Relief, all of the United Presbyterian Church of North America, shall each receive the sum of $500.00 Five Hundred Dollars. 2nd. I suggest that the congregation of North Buffalo, Chartiers Presbytery, shall receive $500 •. 00 Five Hundred Dollars. Interest to be used for support of Pastor, and if at any time the congregation should be dissolved,. the principal sum shall be paid to some of the Benevolent organizations of the Church, according to the Judgment of The Trustees, having it in charge. 3d. I suggest that the sum of $10,000.00 Ten Thousand Dollars be set aside, & held in trust for the use of Irene J. (White) Courson, whom my wife raised. From the fact that her eyes are in such condition that she might in the future be entirely dependent on others, I wish this amount to be carefully protected, That in case she should be dependent, she will have the interest for her keeping, and at no time shall more than 20 per cent of it be invested in Real Estate for a home, and the Trustee is authorized to do so, if thought wise, And the trustee shall have power to reconvert it into cash, when thought best, and when she no long- er needs it for comfort, it shall go to her children. 4" I also wish or suggest $500.00 Five Hundred Dollars be given my namesake Robert Wylie Courson. 5th. I suggest that my niece Alice D. (now married) and my nephew Clarence H. Stewart, both children I , , ' • . .. , . . ~· of my brother William (now deceased) shall each receive $1000.00 One Thousand Dollars. And finally I make the following suggestions as to Real Estate of which I may die possessed. When thought best and wise the real estate should be converted into money, and after the payment of all just debts & expenses $500.00 Five Hundred Dollars, shall be paid to my Grand-Nephew, Howard A. Stewart, noe of Chicago ~. Also $600.00 ~ Hundred Dollars, shall be paid to my sister- inlaw Argie Stewart, wife of my brother Thomas Stewart ~. And Mrs Anna Hair shall receive $300.00 Three Hundred Dollars, (she being a niece of my wife's) And in case of depreciation of the personal property, there should not be sufficient to pay these sug- gestions in full, they shall be paid pro rata. --But if in a case, there should be any residue, it shall be divided egually Between the following Benevolent Organizations of the United Presbyterian Church of North America. This 11Suggestion11 was admitted to probate as a part of the will of Harriet A. D. Stewart, deceased, who died January 31, 1923, and whose will is, of record in Will Book 36, pages 428 and 491. ; . On December 10, 1923, at No. 29, November Terr~, 1923, in the Orphans' Court of Washington County, Penna., The First National Bank of Washington was appointed Trustee to carry out the provisions of this Trust. The First National Bank of Washington merged wi_th the Real Estate Trust Company to ··form the First Bank & Trust Company. The First Bank & Trust Company:·closed and at No. 41 February Term, 1934, of Orphans' Court, Washington Union Trust; Corrtpciny was appointed Successor Trustee. / Washington Union Trust Company, having elected to go into voluntary liquidation, filed its First and Final Account as Successor Trustee of this fund to No. 13-322 of 1954 0. C., and submitted its resignation; whereupon, your Honorable Court accepted said resignation and, on June 15, 1954, at the same number and term, appointed Peoples First National Bank & Trust Company (Now Pittsburgh National Bank) as Successor Trustee.
