PETITION OF ADMINISTRATRIX FOR
DECREE FIXING BOND FOR SALE
OF REAL ESTATE
To the Honorable P. Vincent Marino, President Judge of said
Court:
The petition of Georgia Hargrove respectfully
represents:
1. That Gertrude Scott of Lawrence, Washington
County, Pennsylvania, died intestate on January 7, 1964.
2. That Letters of Administration were issued
to your petitioner by the Register of Wills of Washington
• County, Pennsylvania, on or about October 1, 1964.
3. That by deed dated August 15, 1946, recorded
in Deed Book 903, page 454, Pittsburgh Consolidation Coal
Company conveyed to Sam Scott and Gertrude Scott, his wife,
one parcel of ground hereinafter described:
ALL that certain lot or tract of land situate
in Cecil Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania,
being part of a certain original tract known as the
J. C. Simpson tract of 66.887 acres, said part of
said original tract being more particularly-bounded
and described as follows, viz:
BEGINNING at a point on the northerly side of a
certain private street fifty (50) feet wide, said
point being locatec South eighty-two degrees seven
minutes East (S. B2~ 07' E.) three hundred two and
forty-seven hundredths (302.47) feet from a point
on line of tract now or formerly of s. N. Hopper and
said latter point being located South seventeen
degrees thirty-five minutes East (S. 17° 35' E.)
three hundred fifty and six hundredths (350.06) feet
along line of said Hopper tract from an iron pin
marking a corner thereof and also marking the
northwest corner of the original tract; thence from

said point of beginning by a.line through the
original tract, North seven degrees fifty-three
minutes East-(N~ 7° 53' ·E.) ·one hundred twenty and
no tenths (120.0) feet to a point on the southerly
side of a certain private alley twenty (20) feet
wide; thence through the original tract and along
said side of said alley, South eighty-two degrees
seven minutes East (S. 82° 07' E.) sixty and no
tenths (60.0) feet to a point; thence by a line
through the original tract, South seven degrees
fifty-three minutes West (S. 7° 53' W.) one hundred
twenty and no tenths (120.0) feet to a point on
the northerly side of said private street fifty (50)
feet wide, and thence through the original tract
and along said side of said street, North eighty-
two degrees seven minutes West (N. 82° 07' W.) sixty
and no tenths (60.0) feet to a point, the place of
beginning.
CONTAINING 0.165 of an acre.
4. That y9ur petitioner has been offered the
price of $1,707.50 for the aforesaid property, said offer
having been made by one, Wylie Hill. This amount is the
best and highest price your petitioner is able to obtain
and it will enable your petitioner to make payment in full
for the debts ang obligations of the estate.
5. That the aforesaid property was appraised
at $1,700.00 by a person familiar with the aforesaid property
and his affidavit is attached hereto.
6. That the personal property of the estate is
valued at $00.00.
7. That your petitioner has filed with the Register
of Wills a bond in the amount of $1,000.00 with the u. s.
Fidelity and Guaranty Company, as surety.
WHEREFORE, your petitioner respectfully requests
that an Order be made setting the amount of additional
bond, if any, which she must file before accepting the purchase
