PETITION FOR APPOINTMENT OF GUARDIAN
TO THE HONORABLE,THE PRESIDENT JUDGE OF SAID COURT:
The Petition of Donald King respectfully represents:
1.That your petitioner,Donald King,is the parent
of Sandra King who is 17 years of age,having been born October
5,1951,and who resides with the said Donald King at R.D.#1,
Eighty-Four,Washington County,Pennsylvania.
2.That no guardian has ever been appointed for the
said Sandra King,minor daughter of your petitioner,and a
necessity arises for the appointment of a guardian of her Estate
by reason of the pending settlement of a trespass action for
personal injuries suffered by the said Sandra King,minor,as
a result of an automobile accident on the 6th day of August,
1967 near Fredericktown,Washington County,Pennsylvania.
3.That as a result ot the pending settlement of
said trespass action for personal injuries,there will come into,
the hands of the guardian to be appointed for said minor the sum
of $5,000.00.
4.That your petitioner makes choice of,and respect-
fully requests your honorable court to appoint the Mellon
National Bank &Trust Company,40 South Main Street,Washington,
Pennsylvania guardian of the Estate of Sandra King,a minor.
There is attached hereto a consent of the said Mellon National
Bank &Trust Company to act as such guardian.
5.That the proposed guardian,Mellon National Bank
&Trust Company,has no interest adverse to Sandra King,a minor.
WHEREFORE,your petitioner makes choice of,and prays
your honorable court to appoint Mellon National Bank &Trust
Company guardian of the Estate of Sandra King,a minor.

PETITION FOR EDUCATION ALLOWANCE
TO THE HONORABLE,THE JUDGE OF SAID COURT:
The Petition of Mellon National Bank &Trust Company
respectfully represents:
1.That on August 6,1969 at the above number,your
petitioner,Mellon National Bank &Trust Company was appointed
guardian of the Estate of Sandra King,a minor.
2.Sandra King presently resides with her father,Donald
King,at R.D.#1,Eighty-Four,Pennsylvania.
3.That your petitioner presently holds in said minor's
Estate the sum of $5,000.00.
4.That Sandra King is now 17 years of age,having been
born October 5,1951,and expects to enter Salem College,Salem,
West Virginia as a freshman in September 1969.
5.That in connection with attending the said Salem
College,the said minor will incur,inter alia,as an item of
expense tuition in the sum of $2,400.00 for the academic year
--
1969-70.Of this amount,the minor's parents will provide
$1,200.00,leaving a necessary balance of $1,200.00 payable
in two installments on September 1969 and January 1970.
6.That the petitioner believes it would be for the best
interest of the said Sandra King that she be permitted to
further her education as contemplated at the said Salem College.
The parents of said minor aver that they will supplement the min-
or's Estate in providing education expense so that the minor
will be insured of a four-year college education.
7.That the said Sandra King and Donald King,her father,
have received notice of the intended presentation of this
Petition and have joined in the prayer thereof.
WHEREFORE,your petitioner prays.your Honorable Court
to authorize and direct it to pay to the appropriate officer of
Salem College,Salem,West Virginia,the sum of $600.00,this
sum representing the first installment referred to in Petition.

estate of Sandra King,a minor,and petition your Honorable
Court as follows:
1.The petitioner,Mellon National Bank and Trust
Company,is the duly qualified and roting guardian of the estate'
of Sandra King,a minor;having been appointed guardian of the
estate of said minor by an Order handed down by your Honorable
Court on August 6,1969.
2.Sandra King,is a minor,having been born on
October 5,1951 and she resides with her parents,Donald P.King
and Cleo King,at R.D.#1,Eighty-Four,Washington County,
Pennsylvania.
3.The said minor was involved :in an auto accident
on August 6,1961 near Fredericktown,Washington County,Penn-
sylvania,and the proceeds in the amount of $5,000 in settlement
of a trespass action for personal injuries were deposited with
the guardian bank in an account in the Mellon National Bank and
Trust Company,Washington Office,Washington,Pennsylvania,the
title of the account being:"Guardian Estate of Sandra Sue
King under appointment of Common Pleas Court of Washington
County,Orphans'Court Division dated August 6,1969 at No.899
of 1969 o.C.".
4.By Order dated August 28,1969,your Honorable

Court upon consideration of a Petition for education allowance..
presented to it by the minor and the guardian herein,authorized
the guardian to pay to the appropriate official of Salem
College,Salem,West Virginia,the sum of Six Hundred ($600.00)
Dollars for the first semester tuition.The Order further pro-
vided that upon the successful completion of the first semester,
the gurdian was authorized to pay a like amount for the second
semester.
5.The minor attended one semester at the said
college;however,the said minor decided that she did not desire
to become a teacher and therefore she dropped out of the said
college.
6.The minor is unemployed and she desires to attend
the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy,located at 335 Fifth Avenue,
Pitt~burgh,Allegheny County,Pennsylvania.
7.The minor needs the sum of Eight Hundred ($800.00)
Dollars to take the courses at Pittsburgh Beauty Academy which
said Icourses last 1250 hours.
8.The said minor will commute to and from school
and her parents will pay the costs of her transportation and
other necessary incidentals.
9.The said minor's parents will pay the necessary
legal fees and costs incurred in connection with the within
Peti~ion.
10.The total amount in the minor's account with the
said .guardian bank amounts to $4,579.55.
11.That your petitioner,Sandra King,petitions
your Honorable Court for an allowance from her estate as follows:
(a)That her guardian be authorized to pay Pittsburgh
Beauty Academy the sum of Eight Hundred ($800.00)Dollars

which said amount covers the entire course of beauty
instruction.
(b)That the guardian,Mellon Ntional Bank and

aforesaid sum of money as set forth hereinabove.

Rodgers And Roney,attorneys for the petitioners,and upon
consideration thereof,it is hereby Ordered,Adjudged and
Decreed that Mellon National Bank and Trust Company,guardian
of the estate of San~ra King,a minor,be and is hereby
authorized and directed to pay to the appropriate official of
Pittsburgh Beauty Academy the total sum of Eight"Hundred
($800.00)Dollars to cover the entire course of beauty instruc-
tion consisting of 1250 hours at the said Academy which said
sum of money shall be paid as follows to the said Academy:
One Hundred ($100.00)Dollars down payment to be made on May 18,
1910 and eight monthly payments in the amount of Eighty-seven
and 50/100 ths ($87.50)Dollars thereafter.The parents of the
said minor have represented to the Court that the minor will
continue to live with them and that they will pay the costs in-
curred by the minor for commuting between her home and the
said Academy and the parents will pay such incidental costs as
may be necessary to insure that the minor continues her attend-
ance and completion of the course of instruction at the said
Academy.
