ACCOUNT AND CLOSE ESTATE

The Petition of James G. Hallam, brother of George K. Hallam!
and son of James B. Hallam, both deceased, respectfully representk:
1. That your Petitioner is the Executor of the Estate of
George K. Hallam, deceased, late of South Strabane Township,
Washington County, Pennsylvania, who died August 20, 1968, and
'· Letters Testamentary on his estate were granted to your Petitioner
by the Register of Wills of Washington County, Penna., on Sept.
12' 1968.
2. That one of the a~sets in tbe estate of George K.
Hallam was Lots 32 and 33in Streator Place Plan, South Strabane
Township, Washington County, Penna., with the dwelling thereon
known as 41 Lyman Avenue, which by his Will prob~ted in Will Book
106, page 300,. Washington County, Penna., the deceased directed to

be sold and the proceeds divided between his brothers, James G.
Hallam and William A. Hallam.
3. That by written agreement dated March 7, 1969, the
Executor of the George K. Hallam Estate agreed to sell and convey
said real estate to Alexander A. Umshares et ux., who agreed to
purchase same.
I . 4. That at the time of hi~ death on April 22, 1956, Jame~
I B. Hallam was seized of said real estate and by his Will probatedi
in Will Book 84, page 499, he devised all. his !'State, includ~ng I
said real estate, to his so~, George K. Hallam, whom he also
appointed Executor and Letters·Testamen1:ary ~ere granted.to him.
s. That said Executor, George K. Hallam, filed an
.· ·-
Inventory recorded-in Inventory Book 67, page 373, showing no
personalty in said estate, but realty, consisting of the two lots!
and house hereinbefore described and appraised at Six Thousand
($6,000.00) dollars.
I 6. That George K. Hallam, Executor of James B. Hallam,
deceased, paid all the debts of James B. Hallam, including the
inheritance tax on·said real estate as shown by the records in
Inheritance'Tax Book 32, page 33~, but never'fiied any account
or audit papers and said real estate was never awarded by the
Orphans' Court to_George K~ Hallam~·und~r the.Fiduciaries Act of
1949.
Wherefore, showing as aforesaid, your Petitioner requests
Your Honorable Court to make an appropriate Order and Decree,
authorizing your Petitioner, James G.-Hallam, Executor of the
George K., Hallam Estate, who_was Ex_ecutor of the James B. Hallam
Estate, to file an account in:the James B. Hallam Estate, the
necessary and proper audit Petition following the filing of said
account, and have said real estate awarded by the Court, under the
James a·. Hallam Will, to the Estate of George K. Hallam, and to
pay all expenses connected with doing so out of the moneys to be
received by the George K. Hallam Estate from the sale of said
real estate to Alexander A. Umshares et ux., there being no money
in·the estate of James B. Hallam, and to do all things necessary
to complete the proper settlement of the estate of James B. Hall
deceased.

G. Hallam, Executor of the George K. Hallam Estate, is hereby .-

Petition thereafter, in the estate of James B. Hallam, ·for and
on behalf of George K. Hallam, deceased, Executor of the James B.
Hallam Estate, so that the real estate described in the foregoing
Petition may be properly awarded by the Court under the Will of
James B. Hallam, and further to pay all expenses, filing fees,
attorneys fees etce, connected therewith out of the proceeds to
be derived from the sale of said.real estate out of the George K.
Hallam Estate, as stated in said Petition.
