ORDER DIRECTING CORRECTION OF BIRTH RECORD
AND NOW,November 1,1968,it appears to the Court that an
error was made in the entry of the record of birth of Mont T.Allen,who was
born in Canton Township,Washington 8ounty,Pennsylvania.
Proper evidence of his date of birth has been submitted to the
Court,to wit,a photocopy of a permanent page from the Family Bible,
indicating births in the family;the photocopy shows that the father,Frank B.
Allen,and the mother,Ida May Allen,had children born from the year 1900
to the year 1913;it indicates,amon~·those births,that Mont Allen,who is
the same individual as Mont T.Allen,was born December 1,1905,in said
Canton Township.The said photocoI=Y from fne said Bible is hereto attached
and marked Exhibit "A".
There has likewise been offered for inspection by the Court,the
Honorable Discharge of the said Mont T.Allen,from the Armed Forces of the
United States of America,said Honcrable Discharge having been issued at
Indiantown Gap,in Pennsylvania,on October 3,1945.The said Honorable
Discharge shows,inter alia,that tte said Mont T.Allen was born in the mont
of December,1905.
It is evident that an errJr was made in the entry of the birth
record of this individual,since the said record was entered in the appropriate

docket in the Register of Wills Office on September 17,1906.Since the
birth of this individual is listed as having occurred on December 1,1906,
it is plainly evident that the said entry is in error as the birth could not have
been recorded on September 17,1906,if it had not occurred until December ,
1906.
NOW,THEREFORE,IT IS ORDERED AND DECREED
that the record of the birth of said Mont T.Allen recorded in the office cf the
Register of Wills of Washington County,Pennsylvania,in Birth Record ot
Volume No.3,Page 4,Item No.36,shall be corrected to show the birfn of
said Mont T.Allen to be on Decembe:r 1,1905;that all other matters
recorded in said Birth Record shall remain as heretofore;that a notatio"J.
shall be entered in said Docket,in red ink,showing the authority of the Clerk
to make said correction by citing this Order.
