An error has been made in the appraisement of the above mentioned estate.
The personalty should read $3,735.80,ihstead of $6,000.00,because the
Jt.Held was included in the personalty.And then the Jt.Held was taxed
fully and it should be half taxable.Instead of $2,289.63 as in the
appraisement,.it should be $1,l44.81.
May we please have your permission to correct this error".

Dear Mr.Chaney:
We have your letter of May 13,1968,requesting two corrections
to the original appraisement filed in the estate of the above named
decedent under date of October 6,1967.
In reviewing the record of this estalte,I find it extremely
difficult to understand the various figures set forth in your letter.
For this reason this letter is being written o~the basis of the
information and facts we have before us.
In dealing first with the Savings Aceount No.11312 in the
Union National Bank of Pitts":mrgh,McDonald Office,McDonald,Pennsylvania,
which account is registered in the names of the decedent and his son,
Barney Homitz,which was appraised at its full value of $2,289.63,you
have verified that the account was established more than two years prio~
to Joseph's death.This account,therefore,is taxable only to the extent
of one-half the balance on hand as of the date -of death,November 27,1966,
or,$1,144.81.This correction to the original appraisement is the only
one that I find to be proper from the evidence submitted at this time,thus~
the original appraisement shcu1d be corrected by reducing the value of the
aforementioned account to $1,.144.81,resulting in a reduction of the total
Personal Property fram $6,025.43 to $4,880.61.

,Directing our attention to the several RCC-134 Forms filed
iIi ttiis estate,we find that subsequent to the ~iling of the original
appraisement,a 134 Form was prepared on October 13,1967,wherein
account No.ll312 was again appraised by your office.Since the second
appraisement is not proper,you are hereby authorized to delete from the
record of this estate,the official notice of inheritance tax (Form RCC-134)
issued to Barney RoInitz of Midway,Pennsylvania,and bearing date of
October 13,1967..
.Raving corrected the record of this estate to correspond with
the above,we find the original appraisement will now reflect a total
taxable estate of $8,880.61 and that two RCC-134 Forms remain as filed
for Account Numbers 22631 and 22632 in the Pittsburgh National Bank,
which accounts were registered in the names of the decedent and.his
daughters.
