Home My WebLink AboutOC1968-0797 - ESTATE OF AMOSill THE ORPHANS'COURT OF WASHINGTON COUNTY ,PENNSYLVANIA ill RE: Amendment of Birth Record of VELMA AMOS ( ) ( ) ( No.~Of 1968 ORDER DIRECTING CORRECTION OF BIRTH RECORD AND NOW,June 5,1968,it appears to the Court that an• error was made in the Emtry of the record of birth of Velma Amos who was born in West Finley Township,.Washington,County"Pennsylv,ania,in that the., date of said birth was omitted in the record made thereof.Proper evidence of her date of birth has been submitted to this Court,to wit,a certified copy of application for marriage license made in Brooke County,State of West Virginia,on March 18,1929,when she married her present husband Willis Clemens;said certified cORY showing the age of Velma Amos on said date to be 23 years,which would indicate that Velma Amos was born in the year 1906,prior to March 180f said year 1906.The said certified copy is hereto attached and marked Exhibit frAil.There has been offered to the Court the automobile Operator's License of said Velma Amos,now Velma Clemens,issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,for inspection by the Court;the Court has inspected said Operator's License and is satis:fied that same indicates that Velma Amos,now Velma Clemens was born on January 6 1906.The Court is likewise satisfied,by various written instruments and documents that have been made available to the Court,that Velma Amos has used the birth date of January 6,1906,as her proper date of birth on various papers and instruments used by her in connection with business and social activities at all times since the date of her birth. NOW,THEREFORE,IT IS ORDERED AND DECREED that the record of birthJof said Velma Amos recorded in the Office of the Register of Wills of yvashington County,Pennsylvania,in Birth Record or Volume No.3,page 4,Item No.12,shall be corrected to show the birth of said Velma Amos to be on January 6,1906;that all other matters recorded in said birth record shall remain as heretofore;that a notation shall be entered in said docket,in red ink,showing the authority of the Clerk to make said correction by citing this Order.
