PETITION FOR FAMILY EXEMPTION UNDER SECTION 211 et sec OF THE
FIDUCIARIES ACT OF 1949,P.L.512.66
The petition of Grace Lee respectfully represents:
1.That on September 28,1966,George Baker,herein-
after called decedent,died,having his principal residence at
Burgettstown,Washington County,Pennsylvania.
2.That the petitioner is a child of the decedent and
formed a part of his heusehold at his death and is 42 years of
age.
3.That the decedent was not survived by a spouse.
His wife,Lillian Baker,died July,1966.
4.That the decedent was survived by another child,
but the other child did not form part of the household of which
the decedent was a member at the time of his death.
5.At the time of his demise,the decedent owned in
fee'simple,in his .own name:
ALL that certain tract of land situate on Florence
Avenue in the Borough of Burgettstown and Smith Township,Washing-
ton County,Pennsylvania,bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin at the corner of Florence
Avenue and Jefferson Avenue;thence North 40°47'West 168.35
feet to a post;thence North 4~'·38'East 225.39 feet to a post;
thence along a sixteen foot alley South 46°49'East 194.07 feet
to a post;thence by the northerly line of Jefferson Avenue South
48°53'West 247.38 feet to an iron pin;the place of beginning.
Containing 1.00 acres.
BEING the same tract of land as was conveyed to George
Lillian Baker,his wife,by deed of W.J.Whalen,Jr.,
ux.,dated October 19th,1946 and recorded in the office of
Recorder of Deeds for Washington County,Pennsylvania in Deed
ook Vol.1072,page 392.The said Lillian Baker died intestate
1966.
6.That there are no encumbrances against the said
estate.
7.That the petitioner claims the family exemption in
art from the real estate described in Paragraph 5 above.
8.That the valuation for tax purposes of said real
state ~S1WO HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE ($275.00)DOLLARS,as evidenced
y the official certificate of valuation for taxes attached hereto
nd made a part hereof.
WHEREFORE,your petitioner prays your Honorable Court
o enter a Decree,appoint appraiser to appraise the aforesaid
eal estate in compliance with the Fiduciaries Act of 1949,and
o set a return date for the confirmation of said appraisement and
he property set apart as the family exemption in the estate of
eorge Baker,deceased.
