PETITION FOR SETTLEMENT OF SMALL ESTATE
TO THE'HONORABLE,,THE.PRESIDENT JUDGE OF SAID COURT:

The Petition of Thelma R.Pickens respectfully represents:
1.That Forrest E.Pickens died intestate on February 21,1968
being a citize~of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,and a resident of
Washington,Washington County,Pennsylvania.
2.That all personal property (including wages paid direct to
members of decedent's family under the provisions of Section 201 of the
Fiduciaries Act of 1949,and any property claimed as an exemption under the
provisions of Section 211 of subject Act),consisted of ,a 1967 Mercury Sedan,
Manufacturer's No.7H10C527121,Title No.85468A,having a fair market
value of $1500.00 as more fully appears on the Affidavit of Value of two adult
persons familiar with said car,attached hereto and made a part hereof.
3.That the only h~irs at law of the said Forrest E.Pickens,
deceased,are his surviving wife,Thelma R.Pickens,and a son)Thomas
Paul Pickens,both being adult persons.
4.That your Petitioner is the surviving wife of the said Forres
E.Pickens and that on February 21,1968,and prior thereto your Petitioner
and said decedent lived and cohabited together as husband and wife at 165
Henderson A,:"enue,Washington,Washington County,Pennsylvania.
5.That your Petitioner advanced the sum of $1129.00 to pay
the funeral bill for said decedent to the Robert E.Hummell Funeral Home.
6.That no Letters of Administration have been issued on the

appraisement of assets have been filed.
7.That your Petitioner is the person entitled to the family
exemption of $1000.00 as provide~by Section 211 of the Fiduciaries Act of
1949,as amended,and that your Petitioner is entitled to re~mbursementof
$1129.00 for money advanced as aforesaid to pay the costs of burial'forlsaid'
decedent.
WHEREFORE~your Petitioner prays your Honorable Court to
make a Decree pursuant to Section 202 of the Fiduciaries Act of 1949,as
ame.nded"awarding said 1967 Mercury Sedan on account of her widow's ex-
emption and to reimburse her for burial expenses advanced by her.

AFFIDAVIT OF VALUE
I;Before me,the undersigned authority,personally appeared

who~being duly sworn according to law,depose and say that in their"opinion
the 1967 Mercury Sedan owned by Forrest E.Pickens,deceased,had a fair
and reasonable market value of $1500.00 on February 21,1968.

awarded to Thelma R.Pickens,surviving wife of t?e said Forrest E.Pickens,
deceased,in accordance with Section 202 of the F.iduciaries~Actof 1949,as,
amended,and .the said-Thelma R.Pickens is hereby authorized to execute the
certificate for the transfer of title to said automobile.
