Gentlemen:
The undersigned is counsel for Ernest E.Knotts,
Administrator of the Estate of Juliana M.Knotts,Deceased.
We have been advised by Howard E.Goldfarb,Esquire that you
request substantiation of the value of the Survival Action.
The sole asset of the decedent's estate subject
to tax consisted of the Survival Action which,pursuant to
Pennsylvania law,was combined with a Wrongful Death Action
brought by the surviving spouse and surviving parents of the
decedent.The combined cases were settled and pursuant to
authority granted to counsel in such circumstances,an alloca-
tion was made of the settlement wherein the sum of $1,500.00
was allocated to the Survival Action.
We hereby certify to you,therefore,that the
amount of $1,500.00 allocated to the Survival Action is the
exact amount of the value of that action.
