Josephine M. Douglas , Register for the Probate of Wills and Granting
Letters of Administration in and for the County of Washington, in ~he Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
the last Will and Testament of
Major R. McKinley aka M. R. McKinley
late of Monongahela in the County aforesaid, deceased,
(a true copy whereof is to these presents annexed), was duly admitted to probate; and
Agmes McKinley
the Executor m said \Vill and Testament named, having appeared before me and taken and subscribed
the oath of office prescribed by law;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Josephine M. Douglas , Register as aforesaid, do
grant these LETTERS TESTAMENTARY, unto the said"
Agnes McKinley
committing unto her the administration of all and singular the goods and
chattels, rights and credits, which were of said deceased, and requiring her
to exhibit a true and perfect inventory thereof into the Register's Offi·ce, at W a'shington, within ninety
days from the date hereof, and to render a just and true account of said administration at the expiration
of six months from the date hereof, and to regard and comply with the provisions of the laws of this
Commonwealth relating to inheritance taxes.

from Attorney Anne E'del Deacon, Delray Beach, Florida.
Note ifo2: This was an old property when purchased by my Mother
prior to 1938. My Mother died in November 1938 leaving no
possessions except this old house. It was agreed by the
legal heirs to permit our elderly sister, Miss Gladys
McKinley (formerly known as Mrs. Gladys Kirkpatrick prior
to her divorce) to live in the house without payment of any
rent and that the taxes were to be paid by me, Floyd C.
McKinley, because I was the only one of the family with
sufficient income and funds to take this action. However,
the taxes were v~ry low at that time but increased rapidly
during the following years. Maintenance, upkeep and re-
pairs were much higher than anticipated. Therefore I am
filimg against the Major McKinley Estate for·-bne quarter
(1/4) of the total amount of taxes and upkeep as follows::

Note #3: Please note that the above itimized list of taxes, etc.
I were reduced' consi~erably in 1966. In 1967 the taxes were
drastically 1reduced to practically nothing. The street on
t which this hpuse is located is in a very old section of
Daytona Beach and dll residences were probably built fifty
' ! or sixty yea1rs ago 1thereby resulting in much deterioration
in recent y~ars. Moreover, the street is only about four,
., I ,
blocks long ~nd due to the tremendous growth of the area bhe
widening of 1the.stteet was necessary which left a three foot
sidewalk directly ~djacent to the old style front porches of
all of thes~ homes. Consequently the Tax Assessor reassessed
I
the whole a~ea duelto this street widening. The present Tax
Assessor's appraisAl of this property has now be assessed at
$4,300.00.
