PETITION FOR SETTLEMENT OF A SMALL
ESTATE AND FOR FAMILY EXEMPTION UNDER §202 AND
§211 OF THE FIDUCIARIES ACT.AS AMENDED
TO THE HONORABLE,THE JUDGES OF THE SAID COURT:
IRENE T.SMITH respectfully represents:
1.That the decedent,George T.Smith,died on March 29,
1967,and was a resident of 6 Virginia Drive,Rabe Manor,Carroll
Township,Washington County,Pennsylvania.
2.That the petitioner,Irene T.Smith,is the surviving
spouse of the above decedent and she is now residing at 6 Virginia
Drive,Rabe Manor,Carroll Township,Washington County,Pennsy1-
vania.
3.That the petiti~ner and the decedent were married on
August 4,1927,and that the petitioner was a member of decedent's
household 'at,the time of his death.
4.That the decedent died intestate and no letters were
applied for.
5.That the decedent left to survive him,the following as
next of kin:
Irene T.Smith,Widow
Leighton T.Smith,Son,sui juris

6.That your petitioner resided with the decedent in the
same household at the above address in Carroll Township,Washingto
County,Pennsylvania,prior to and on the date of his decease.
7.The only asset in connection with this Petition is a
one-seventh interest in the estate of Bertha M.Bowers.The Bower
estate is presently before the Orphans'Court of Beaver County,
Pennsylvania,and is now in the process of being closed.
In the proposed distribution of the Bowers estate,
$461.00 is to be distributed to the.heirs of Emma Warren.The sa·d
Emma Warren died on March 10,1966,intestate,leaving an estate
that was held jointly with Right of Survivorship with George T.
Smith.Her only surviving heir was her son,George T.Smith,who
is the decedent in the within Petition.
8.All of the expenses of the funeral and last illness of
George T.Smith have been paid by your petitioner,and there are
no known outstanding claims against this estate.All of George
T.Smith's assets were held jointly as Tenants by the Entireties,
and a Federal Estate Tax return was filed and notice received
that no tax was due.
WHEREFORE,your petitioner prays this honorable Court
authorize any intere?t in the estate of Bertha M.Bowers be award d
to Irene T.Smith as her family exemption.
