I,Roland ~.Carroll,UIUIlUTied,a legal resident of Elm Grove,
Wheeling,West Virginia,being of sound and disposing memory,do hereby make,
publish and declare this instrument as ~last Will and Testament.
1.I hereby revoke all prior wills and codicils by me made.
2.I direct that all my funeral expenses and lawful debts be ~id.
3.I hereby appoint my sister,Florence C.Carman of BridgeVille,
Pennsylvania,as my executrix.In the event she shall be unab~e to serve,
through legal disability or otherwise,then and in that event,I appoint Samuel
Kittle of Elm Grove,\{heeling,West Virginia as my executor.
4.I give said executrix the fullest power and authority in all
matters and questions,including complete power and authority to sell (at plblic
or private sale,for cash or credit),mortgage,lease and dispose of all property,
real and personal,at such times and upon such terms and conditions as she may
determine,all without court order.
5.I give,devise and bequeath the sum of Five Hundred ($5CO.00)
Dollars to my sister-in-law,Hazel McNay Carroll,of Washington,Pennsylvania,
if she is single at the time of my death.If she has remarried,~ra.graph -;'5
will be void.
6.I give,devise and bequeath my automobile,the sum of Five Thousand
($5000.00)Dollars and also Four Thousand ($4(0(.00)Dollars from my National
Service Life Insurance,if it is in effect at the time of my death,to my sister,
Florence C.Carman of Bridgeville,Pennsylvania.
7.All the rest,residue and reminder of my property,real,personal
and mixed,I give 'devise ~nd bequeath to my sister,Margaret C.Sprowls of 672
East Maiden Street,.Washington,Pennsylvania,Absolutely and forever.

On the 16th day of May,1957,appeared Florence C.Carman,
petitioner,by Edmund Lee Jones,her counsel,and presented and
offered for probate a paper writing bearing date the 1st day of
February,1951,purporting to be the last will and testament of
Roland C.Carroll,deceased,who departed this life on the 1st day
of April,1957,and said paper writing was accompanied by a petition
requesting a day set for probate,service upon interested parties
to issue,etc.,and it is thereupon accordingly ad'judged,ordered
and decreed that said paper writing and petition are now ordered
filed herein and the matter of probate of said paper writing is set
for hearing on the 27th day of May,1957,at 11 o'clock A.M.

In the r~tter of the Probate of the Will of
Roland C.Carroll,Deceased
This 27th day of May,1957 at 11:00 o'clock A.M.,this
matter came on to be heard,and it aopearing to the court that all
of the interested persons named in the petition filed herein have
been duly notified by service or acceptance of ryroper summons,now
returned,with acceptance of service dUly endorsed thereon,and it
further appeariI16 to the court that all of the persons interested
in the probate of the paper writins dated the 1st day of Feb~~ary,
1951,~nd all persons who would have been interested in the estate
of said Roland C.Carroll if he had died intestate,are now oroper1y
convened before this court,thereupon tho court proceeded to he~r and
determine the motion made for such orob~te by the petitioner,Florence
C.Carman.
Thereupon appeared Harry E.J.Gonter,.Till<lrd C.Harris 9.nd
Lee F.Kloss,the attesting witnesses to said paper writing dated
February 1,1951,purporting to be the last will and testament of said
Roland C.Carroll,deceased,who being duly sworn testified at tho bar
of the court wi~h respect to and in support o~the allegations contain-
ed in the said oetition of said Florence C.Carman.After hearing said
testimony the court finds:
1.That said Roland C.Carroll on the 1st day of Februqry,
1951,and at thE)"time of his death on the 1st d8.y of Aoril,1957,was
a resident of Ohio County,West Virgi'lia 'lnd o'.'med and nosflessed prop-
erty in said County.
2.That on said 1st day of Febrml.ry,1951,the sa id .,olQnd C.
Carroll was over the a~e of 21 years and of sound mind,and tr~t on
said day he signed,sealed,acknowledged,published and declared the
said paper writing da.ted the 1s t day of February,1951,heretofore
filed with the Clerk of the County Court of Ohio County,West Virginia,
to be his last will and testament,in the presence of said attesting
Witnesses,Harry E.J.Gonter,I'Iil+~rd C.Harris and Lee F.Kloss,"tY:d
requested the said attesting witnesses to attest the said paper writing
as and for his said last will and testa~ent,which witnesses at the
said request of the said Roland C.Carroll and in his presence and in
the presence of each other attested the said oaoer writing as the last

It Is,therefore,adjudged,ordered and decreed that the said
paper wrlting dated the 1st day of February,1951,has been duly
proven to be and is the true last will and testament of the said
Roland C.Carroll,deceased,and that the same be and it is hereby
accordingly admitted to probate and record as the said true last will
and testament of said Roland C.Carroll,deceased.
And it appearing to the court that Florence C.Carman,named
as Executrix in said will is a resident of Pennsylvania and ineligible
to act as Executrix and it further appearing that Samuel C.Kittle,
named in said will as alternate Executor thereof,has declined to
actJ therefore upon the prayer and motion of said Florence C.Carman
in her said petition,The First National Bank &Trust Company of Elm
Grove is hereby apnointcd Administrator witL the will annexed of the
estate of Roland C.Carroll.
Thereupon aooeared The First National Bank &Trust Company of
Elm Grove,by Henry S.Barth,its Trust Officer,who was
duly sworn and entered into and acknowledged a bo~d in the oenalty of
$10,000.00,conditioned according to law.Letters testamentary on
said decedent's will are hereby Lranted said Administrator with the
Will annexed,in due form.
