ARTICLE 1. Section 1.I give and bequeath to my wife,Esther E. BASTHEIM,the sum of Twenty-five Thousand Dollare(~25,000.-). I direct that this bequest shall have preference and priority over all other legacies and bequests contained in this,my Last ill and Testament,and that the said sum of Twenty-five Thousand Dollars (§25,000.00)shall be paid to my wife in full before payment is made of any other legacies or bequests under this Will. This bequest to my wife,together with the be~uest to her under Article V of this will,shall be in lieu,and in full settlement and satisfaction,of my obligation to bequeath to her one fourth of my estate after all bequests and expenses have been deducted, but in no event less than Ten Thousand Dollars §10,000.00), under the provisions of the "Waiver of Right to Elect to Take Against Mr.Louis Bastheim's Will",signed under date of March 8, 1947,by my wife,who before her marriage,was known as Esther E.porter,which instrument is attached hereto. ARTICLEL II Section 1.I give and bequeath to Adolf Levy,no~ residing at No.196 Pinehurst Avenue,New York City 33,New York if he is living at the time of my death,the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars (§10,000.00),or,if the said Adolf Levy is not then living,I give and bequeath the said sum of Ten Thousand Dollars §10,000.00)to his wife,ROSETT LETI,if she is living at the time of my death. Section 2. I give and bequeath to Henny Simenauer,now living at No.547 157th street,New York City,New York,if she is living at the 11 (3000.0Q) time of my death,the sum of Three Thousand Do ars ,. Section 3.I give and bequeath to LEWIS L.SI1~~RMAN, now residing at No.648 Morrison Drive,Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania, if he is living at the time of my death,Fifty Shares of the Preferred Stock of The Wilkens Company,stock now owned by me. Section 4.I give and bequeath to LORENA M.ElLER, now residing at West Aliqippa,Pennsylvania,and now an employee of the Ambridge store of the Wilkens Company,if she is living at the time of my death,the sum of Thousand Dollars (§1000.00). Section 5.I give and bequeath to ANN FISCHER,now an employee of the Wilkens Company,if she is living at the time of my death,the sum of Five Hundred Dollars (§500.00). section 6.I give and bequeath to Ruth N.Leake,now an employee of the Wilkens Company,if she is living at the time of my death,the sum of Five Hundred Dollars.(§500.00). A-~TICLE III Section 1.I direct that all of the lagacies and be quests contained in Article 1,Article II,and Article IV of this will shall be paid to the respective legatees therein named without any deductionfor any inheritance,estate or transfer taxes imposed by the State of Pennsylvania or by the United states of America,and that all inheritance,estate or transfer taxes on the said legacies and bequests shall be borne and paid by my residuary estate provided for in Article V of this Will. A.TICLE IV.I Section 1.I give and bequeath to my wife,ESTHER E.~~,~~~~~ BASTHEIM,all of my furniture,furnishings and personal effects excepting only my books and music.
