Attorney.
I,William A.Coftman,of German township,Fayette
County,Pennsylvania,being of sound mind,memory and under-
standing,do make and publish this my last will and testament,
hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore
made.
First:I desire that my body Shall be buried in Saint
Jac0.E.!Lutheran Cemetery in German !ownship,aforesaid.
Second:I desire and direct that all my lust debts
and funeral expenses shall be fully paid by my executors herein-
after named,as soon after my decease as convenient.
Third:As to all of the wordly goods which I possess
at the time of my decease,I give,devise and bequeath the same
as follows:
To my son_Gilbert Coffman_the sum of Two Thousand
Dollars out of my estate,and Ten shares of the Colonial Coal and
Coke Company stock,said Company being situated in Braxton County,
West Virginia.
To my grandson,Ebert Rider,the sum of One Hundred
Dollars.
To my grand-daughter_Ruth Rider,the sum of One
Hundred Dollars.
To my grand-daughter,Gladdis Rider,the sum of One
Hundred Dollars.
To my grandson,Clarence Newman,the sum of One Hundred
Dollars.
To my grandson Paul Newman,the sum of One HWldred
Dollars.
~To my beloved wife,Elizabeth Ann Coffman,I give and
devise the Home Farm and all the farming utensils,and all of the
household goods;also Ten Thousand Dollars in money.
It is my desire,and I hereby authorize and direct my
executors hereinafter n~ed,or the survivors of them,to sell
all my real estate,(except what has already been bequeathed)
when in their wise discretion they have received reasonable
consideration for the s~e,and to make good and sufficient deeds
for the same,and to divide the residue of the proceeds thereof
among the following named children,to wit:Jonah Coffman,
Mrs.Lizzie (Coffman)Rider,Mrs.Mabel (Coffman)Newman,and
Miss Lydia Coffman,share and share alike.
In case of the death of any of my said children before
my decease,I hereby direct that the share which said child was
to receive,shall go to his or her children and be diVided,share
&share alike.
I hereby give and bequeath to my executors,in trust,
the sum of One Hundred Dollars,the interest of which is to be
used for the purpose of keeping the cemetery in good repair,and
this shall be looked after by my executors hereinafter named.
I hereby direc~t,and it is my Will,that in case any
person or persons to whom any estate,bequest or interest is
given by this my will,shall,in any court of law or equity,
dispute,controvert or call in question the validity hereof,or
the estates,or shares or provisions herein given or contained,
such person or persons shall be deprived of any interest or
participation in my estate,and the interest herein devised to
him or her,or them shall go to the other legatees of this my
will herein named and to be divided equally among them.
Lastly,I hereby appoint James R.Goodwin and my son,
Jonah Coffman,executors of this my last will.
In Witness Whereof,I have hereunto set my hand and
seal this seventeenth day of March,in the year of our Lord one
thousand nine hundred and thirteen_
