I,Hannah A.Hogsett,wife of John F.Hogsett,of the City of Uniontown,Fayette County,Pennsylvania,do hereby make and publish this as and for my last will and testament,as follows; Item I. To my daughter,Harriet G.,I give and bequeath my piano. Item II. To my daughter,Susan,I give and bequeath my victrola. Item III. To each of my daughters,Susan and Harriet G.,I give and bequeath a full set of bed_room furniture;that is,to Susan_ the furniture in my own room,and to Harriet G._the furniture in the bed_room now occupied by her,and in addition thereto I give to the said two daughters and the survivor of them,all the rest of my household and kitchen furniture including silver and china ware,except as mentioned in the next item. Item IV. To Mary Elida Smiley,who for many years has made her home in our family,I give and bequeath the sum of five hundred ($500-)dollars,and in addition thereto direct that she shall be permitted to have a home in the dwelling house in which I now re- side,for and during the remainder of her natural life,provided it shall so long remain a part of my estate;and I give and be- queath to her the furniture in the bed room now occupied by her. Item V. It is my desire that my home property,being the lot of land situate in the City of Uniontown,Pennsylvania,fronting on West Main Street,and the brick dwelling house thereon in which we now reside,shall remain and be kept as a home for my unmarried children,80 long as any of them so remain and desire to occupy it as a home,along with my husband if he shall survive me. I,therefore,give and devise my said home property to my three daughters,Lillian R.Hogsett,Susan Hogsett and Harriet G.Hogsett_subject,however,to the right of my husband,John F. Hogsett to occupy the same as a home with my daughters during his natural life,he however,during his lifetime shall pay the taxes which Shall be assessed thereon,all insurance and all necessary expenses of keeping it in good repair.I further direct that at the decease of anyone of my said three daughters,her interest in said home property shall inrr~ed1ately vest in the remaining two daughters,and at the decease of another of said daughters,her interest therein shall vest in the remaining one of my said three daughters,absolutely. Item VI. From and after and subject to the disposition of the portions of my estate hereinbefore disposed of,I direct that all the rest of my estate_real,personal and mixed,of every kind whatsoever and wherever situate (except a life insurance held by my husband,John F.Hogsett,in which I am the beneficiary,if I or my estate should become entitled to the benefits thereof,I_by a separate paper having made disposition thereof)shall be divided equally among my eight children,to wit:Jane Messmore,William H. Hogsett,Lillian R.Hogsett,Smith Fuller Hogsett,Susan Hogsett, Harriet G.Hogsett,Robert A.Hogsett and John F.Hogsett Jr.If I shall own any real estate at the time of my decease,other than my said home property,I direct that my executor and executrix sell the same,at either public or private sale as they may deem best,as soon after my decease as they think proper so to do and divide the proceeds thereof as part of my residuary estate as herein directed, hereby giving to my said executor and executrix full authority to execute and deliver any and all deeds necessary to properly dispose of the same. Item VII. The reason I have made no larger provision for my husband in this will,is that he has an ample estate of his own. Item X. I hereby nominate and appoint my son,William H.Hogsett and my daughter,Susan Hogsett,as executor and executrix of this my last will and testament.
