First;I wish to appoint Herbert Patterson,of Wilkinsburgh, Pa,my Brother-in-Law,as executor of any estate I may leave. I realize this Will is effective as of this date and changes may later become necessary, depending on the length of time I may live. Any such changes are to be added by me and Mr.Patterson, jointly, ana will not be effective otherwise. In her Will,Thermie left everything to me -House,Automobile, furniture and all household possessions. At my death the property at 644 and 646 East Maiden Street, Washington,Pa.,is to be sold.I am listing below a statement or assets and debts as of the present time, and which may increase or decrease as time goes on,depending on my length of life,or the possibility of my becoming incapacita ed and unable to work. Assets House and lot,644 &646 E.~aiden St, Automlbbile Life Insurance (Travelers Insurance Co) Bank account (tellon Bank,Canonsburg,Pa.) Debts. Mortgage on home Note (Mellon Bank,Canonsburg,Pa.) Building and Loan Association,Washington,Pa. My mortgage is with the Chartiers Building &Loan Association of Canonsburg,Pa.,and was originally $9000.00 three years ago. The property was appraised at $13,500.00,and should readily bring 12,000.00.I would strongly urge that no hasty action be taken on the sale of the property as it will produce sufficient income to maintain itself for some time at least.Mr.George Challener is Secretary of the Association and is a good friend of mine.I have talked this over with him and I am sure he will cooperate in every possible way to eff ct a proper sale and obtain what the property is worth.Fire Insurance policies in amounts of 10,000.00 on the house and 3000.00 on furnituee are enclosed and paid up to JUly 27,1956.City,County and School taxes are paid up to date -They amount to around 195.00 per year. Tax receipts are enclosed. The monuments for the lot in the Cemetery have been selected at Simon White &S~ns,West Maiden Street -one for Papa Wiley and Mama Wiley and one for Thermie and me and the following inscriptions have been given them to be placed thereon; William Campbell Wiley 1838 1908. Sickles Excelsior Brigade 1861 to 1863. Belle Hall Wiley 1848 Thermie Wiley Holder 1881 1954 Clyde Elmer Holder 1881 The small marker now at Daddy's grave, which was placed by the L ·, .•G.A.R.might be used at·the foot of the grave or some other location,as I think Daddy would want it to remain there. We are now faced with the problem of making disposition of any household goods and furnishings ~hich may be in my possession at the time of my death.I feel that it is only right and proper that all the furniture and other items which have been in the Hall and Wiley families so many years should remain the~e.I have no right to go into detail and try to direct to whom each item should go,as that would be an endless task in any event. However Kate, knowing the fairness and good judgment of yo~,Herb,Katharine and Mary Belle,I do not hesitate to leave this in your hands, realizing that the bulk of it should go to the thre of you.I am sure Thermie would want some things to go to Thelma,Sweetheart,Katharine Robison and John Strabel. As to my own family,I have only one Neice,Phoebe McKinney and two nephews,William Miller and Lawrence Holder.I would have no way of knowing just what each one might want,so the only alternative would be to let them get together and make their own selections from such items as belonged to Thermie and me,such as; Dishes -refrigerator -stoves -kitchen utensils - chest of drawers in my room -Mothers desk in my room - silverware in kitchen and some in cedar chest that I gave Thermie -chairs -davenport -bookcase -some furniture in all four rooms and all pictures, exclusive of the two oil paintings and family photographs.two radios -old clock in third floor (Lon Prigg has the works for it)-old guitar towels -linen -beds -Victrola and old records (many of I . these are extremely valuable now).Any other items can be disposed as you see fit. As you know Kate,Thermie wanted you to have the coffee urn and pitchers on the bookcase and tea cart.Mary Belle to have the blue vases.I want little Katharine to have the cut glass lamp and Aunt Thermie's diamond ring.I know Thermle would want it that way.(It is still in the original box,to- gether with the original setting it came in in 1906). Kate,I want you to gOi-aver the books in the bookcase and on the third f&oor and keep what you want -some of them are valuable.Mary Belle is to have the old scrap book. She and Ratharine can go over the old pictures and news paper clippings in the old suit case in my room and divide them if they wish. The cut glass in the little room on the third floor, together with the hand painted china and Mama Wiley's Haviland china dinner plates in the kitchen cupboard is to be divided between you, little Katharine and Mary Belle. My Mothers cookie dish and the old dinner plate in the right hand side of the kitchen cupboard should go to Lawrence Holder. It belonged to his great Grand Mother. Thermie's clothing and personal effects may be distributed or otherwise disposed of as seen fit. After the estate is settled and all the previously mentioned debts paid, any remaining balance, after all expenses are cared for are to be divided equally between little Katharine,Kary Belle,Katharln Robison,Thelma Strabel,Katharine Ashley, John Strabel,Phoebe McKinney,William Miller,Lawrence Holder and GertrUde McNeal. .. •I think Thermie's funeral services were eautlful and I would like the same for me.The same kind of casket and all other arrangements the same.If they are living and available I would like Virginia (Flack)Fetherlin to sing the same two songs "In The Ga.rden l and "Abide With Me"that she sang for Thermle, and her Mother Clea Flack to play the organ. If not available, substitutions can be made. I would like my pallbearers selected from the following group in the order wich they appear; Russell Snyder Ralph Thomas William Miller Judson Wiley Wallace Wherry Lawrence Holder Edward Temple Henry Temple John Flack Andrew Cummins I am to be laid away in the Hall lot in the Washington Cemetery, beside Th~rmie at the foot of Papa Wiley{s grave.
