being ofsound mind,memory and understanding,do makeand publish this my
last Will and Testament,hereby revoking and makin!f void all former Wills by
me at any time heretofore made.
1.It is Will that all 'ust debts doctor bill and funeral expenses
be paid first out of mY estate.
2.It is my nIl,after the payment of all my just debts,that all my property
of whatever kind,real,personal or mixed,shall descend in equal proportions,
share and share alike,to those of rtJy children who are living at the time
of my decease,subject,however to the conditions hereinafter provided.
3..It is my desire and I so direct,at rn[death,that all my prqperty of
whatever kind,except my homestead,and household goods,furniture and
furnishings in the home,situate on Buena Vista street,~ashington,
Pennsylvania,if ~shall be sold and the monies so derived,together with
ney I may have in bank,after paying all my debts and expenses con-----n cted with the settlem nt of my estate,sha be divided equally among those
of ~children no are living at the time of death alike.
4.As to II\Y homestead.household goods,furniture and furnishings sitllate on
Buena.Vista street,Washington,Pennsylvania.it is mY desire and I so Will
that,mY daughter,Eliza,should she be liVing and unmarried at the time of
my decease,shall continue to live in and occupy my homestead,as furnished
at the time of my death,as her home during her naturel life,or so long as
she m;y remain Single,she to have the sole right to make any and all
arrangements for the occupying of the property.from time to time.which shall.
include the renting.if necessa.ry,and the collection of the rents for the_same
and she shall be responsible only for the naturel lWkeell0f and the yearly
taxes on said real estate.
5.If,during the life of moc daug~ter,Eliza,she being still single.it should
be deemed advisable and in her judgment,it would be better that the home-
stead,with or without a part or ~ll of the household goods,furniture and
furnishings,shoula oe sold,the~,with her consent,it is ml Will.and 1 so
direct,that the same be sold by ~hereinafter named executors;It is ~
4esire,however that mY executors shall first have my said property
appraised by three (3)disinterested persons,cognizant of the value of real
estate in the vicinity of my said homestead and that mY three (3)sons,
Samuel,Archie C.and William,be given an opportunity to purchase said
homestead at the APpraised value,to the eldest,first,and to my next oldest
and then to my youngest;Should none of D\Y sons desire to purchase the said
homestead at the appraised valuation.or should it be known beforehand that none
of IIij'"sons wisbed to purchase the same,then it is my Will that this app
be not made,and that said property be then sold,either at private or public
sale,and the monies so derived ,after the pgyment of any and all expenses
wi.th said sale,shall be deposited in some Ba.nk or Trust Comp~of washington,
Pennsylvania,on interest and in Trust tor the benefit of ~daughter,Eliza,
she to receive the lncome or interest from said ~rust fund,during her nature
or becoming marr'

be devided equally among those of my children who were liVing at tile

proceeds of said sale,after payment of all expenses connected with said sale,
be divided equally among those of my children who were liVing at the time of
my decease,share and share alike.
7.It is m,y desire,and I so Wi)],should any of Il\Y cbi)dren who are liv1ng at the
time of moc death,thereby becoming entitled to a distributive share in my
estate,die before sale and distribution is made,as above directed,that the
