I,Annie Sunderland Burte,of the City of Washington,
Washington County,Pennsylvania,do make this,my last will and
testament,hereby revoking any and all wills by me heretofore made
First.I direct the payment of all my just debts and
funeral expenses out of my estate as soon as conveniently
possible.
Second.I direct that a marker be placed at my grave in
our lot in the Washington Cemetery of similar character and
design with the other markers in that lot.The marker shall
bear no inscription except nAnnie s.n.
Third.I give and bequeath all my household goods,
utensils and equipment,including books,furniture,silverware
and articles of personal use and ornament,to my flriend,Bessie B.
Moore,of Washington,Pennsylvania,to be disposed of by her as
she,in her absolute discretion,may see fit.She is acquainted
with my wishes in regard to the property mentioned in this
paragraph and I hereby vest in her full authority to carry them
into effect.And I direct that the Pennsylvania Transfer
Inheritance Tax upon the property bequeathed in this paragraph
be paid out of the residue of my estate.
Fourth.I give,devise and bequeath all the rest,
residue,and remainder of my estate,both real and personal,of
whatsoever nature and wheresoever situated,to The Citizens
Library Association of Washington,Penna.,to be used by the said
Library Association for the following purposes:
The said Library Association shall have the right to use
either income or principal,or both,for the purpose of making
payments on account of either principal or income upon any
mortgage,which may be a lien upon any or all of my real estate
at the time of my death.
The said Association may construct upon all or a part of
the real estate,of which I may die seized,a public library.
It may use the income of either real or personal property,
or both,for the purpose of buying books for the library operated

by it or may apply such income to the payment of the operating
expenses of the said Association.
Allor any part of the principal,received by the said
Association from my estate,both personalty and the proceeds of
the sale of real estate,together with any accumulated income,
may be used for the purpose of purchasing ground for the erection
thereon of a public library,or for the purpose of erecting a
building to be used as a public library,or for either or both
of said purposes;and the said Library Association shall have the
power to use such principal,together with any funds which may
come into its possession from other sources to be used for like
purposes,for the purposes herein indicated.
It is my intention that in order to carry out my intention
The Citizens Library Association of Washington,Penna.shall have
full power to sell and convey any real estate of which I may die
seized.
This gift to The Citizens Library Association of Washingto ,
Penna.,is made by me as a memorial to my deceased brother,
John T.Sunderland,and I direct that the said Association place
in the library operated by it a suitable memorial tablet,the cost
thereof to be paid out of the principal of the said gift.
Fifth.I appoint The Citizens National --EarLl{of Washingto ,
(of Washington,Pennsylvania,)Executor of this my will;and I
confer upon my said Executor full power and authority to sell or
mortgage any part or all of the real estate of which I may die
seized,at either public or private sale,for such estate or
estates,and upon such terms as it may deem proper,without any
obligation upon the mortgagees or purchasers to see to or be
responsible fOf the application of the purchase money.

I,Annie Sunderland Burte,of the City of Washington,
Washington County,Pennsylvania,do hereby make and publish this
second codicil to my last will and testament bearing date the
31st day of March,1941,in manner following,to-wit:
First.I give and bequeath to Dorothy Clark,a faithful
employee,Three Hundred Dollars.
Second.I give and bequeath to Louis O.Wilson,a faithful
employee,One Hundred Dollars.
Third.I direct that the two bequests made in this codicil
be paid by my executor out of the residue of my estate and that
the Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax upon them be paid o~t of the
residue of my estate so that the said legatees may receive the
amounts thereof without diminution for such tax.
Fourth.Subject to the modifications made necessary by the
gifts made in this codicil and by the gifts made in the first
codicil to my said will,dated February 25th,1942,I do hereby
ratify and confirm my said will in all other respects.
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal

I,Annie Sunderland Burte,of the City of Washington,
Washington County,Pennsylvania,do hereby make and publish
this codicil to my last will and testament bearing date the 31st
day of March,1941,in manner following,to-wit:
First.I give and bequeath to my friend,Mrs.Helen Plants
Kelso,of Washington,Pennsylvania,the 10 shares of the capital
stock of the George Washington Hotel Corporation standing in my
name.
Second.I give and devise the house and lot known as No.
48 East Wneeling Street in the City of Washington,Washington
County,Pennsylvania,being the same property which was conveyed
to my mother,Julia A.Wark,by Sallie M.Morrow et ale by deed
dated May 8,1905,and recorded in the Recorder's Office of
Washington County,Pennsylvania,in Deed Book Vol.317,page 306,
and being the western half of Lot No.49 in the General Plan of
Washington,to my friend,Bessie B.Moore,of 48 East \~eeling
Street,Washington,Pennsylvania.
The property hereby devised,together with adjoining real
estate owned by me,is covered by mortgages given by me to the
Washington County Fire Insurance Company.It is my desire that
no part of any amount due or to become due upon these mortgages
shall be paid from the rents or proceeds of sale of the real
estate devised in this codicil;and I therefore direct my Executor
to pay the entire amount of the said mortgages,together with all
interest thereon,out of the rents or proceeds of sale of the othe
real estate belonging to me in order that the real estate here
devised may be free of the lien of said mortgages.
Third.Subject to the modifications made necessary by the
gifts made in this codicil I do hereby ratify and confirm my said
will in all other respects.
