LAST WILL AND TESTMlmNT OF THOMAS B.BROWN
I,Thomas B.Brown of Madison Borough,~Vestmoreland County
Pennsylvania,being of sound and disposing mind,memory and understand-
ing,do make,publish and declare this my last Will and Testament hereby
revoking all other wills by me at any time heretofore made,and
FIRST:I direct t'~at all my just debts and funeral expenses
be paid as soon as conveniently can be done after my decease.
Jr.,and his heirs absolutely my farm located in Cross Creek Township,
Washington County,Pennsylva~ia,known as the Marquis Farm containing
242 Acres and my farm also located in Cross,Creek Township,~Jashington
Countv,Pennsvlvallia,kno111n as the Wiley Vance Farm Conta ining 225 Acres.
THIRD:I give,devise and bequeath to my son,E.Denny Brown,
ana his heirs a"solutely my farm locatea in Jefferson To~nshiP'WaShing-~
ton County,Pennsylvania,known as the Archer Farm,containing 150 Acres.

The above bequests in paragraphs SECOND and THIRD of this will
are made subject to the provision that the devisee or his heirs in each
case shall assume and pay any mortgage which shall be unpaid at the
time of my death against any farm bequeathed to him or them.
FOURTH:I give,devise and bequeath unto my daughter,Mary
Brane for and during the term of her natural life my home f'81rm where I
now res ide located in Mad is on Borough and HeplPfield Tovvnsh ip,'Nes tmorela nd
County,Pa.,cons isting of 85 .4cres,more or less,my farm located in
Hempfield Township,~estmoreland County,Pa.,formerly known as the
Evans Heirs far~containing 15 4cres,more or less,my frame house and lot
located in-the Borough of Madison,Westmoreland County,Pa.,said lot
being 30 feet by 90 feet,having been purchased by me from C.M.Sloan
and now occupied by James Maughan,tenant,Also my frame house and lot
located in the Borough of Madison,Westmoreland County,Pa.,said lot

being 14 feet by 28 feet,having been purchased by me from C.M.Sloan
and now occupied by James Curry,tenant,my frame house and the lot on
which it is erecteo located on the East Side af Main Street in the Borough
of Madison,Westmoreland County,Pa.,said lot being 60 feet by 90 feet
and now occupied by Alexander Lawson,tenant.Subject to the provision
that she shall pay the taxes on said properties,pay for the repairs to
said properties so as to keep the same including buildings in as good
condition as at the time of my death and pay the insurance premiums on a
reasonable amount of insurance on said buildings.At the death of said
Mary Brane,I give,devise and bequeath said properties as follows:
To E.Denny Brown,the one third part thereof.
To Thomas B.Brown,Jr.,the one third part thereof.
To Elizabeth Friedland,Daughter of my deceased son,
1~illiam Brown,the one ninth part thereof.
To Jane Bro1Nn,daughter of my decea sed son,1!illiam
~rown,the one ninth part thereof.
To William D.Brown,son of my deceased SOl1,
William Brown,the one ninth part thereof.
FIFTH:I give,devise and bequeath the following properties
equally,share and share alike to Elizabeth ~riedland,Jane Brown and
William D.Brown,children of my son,William Brown,deceased,viz;
1.My frame house and the lot on which it is erected
known as the Shupe property located in Madison Borough,Westmore-
land County,Pennsylvania,said lot being 55 feet by 130 feet and
being now occupied by Cecil Garlow,tenant.
2.My frame house and the lot on which it is erected
also known as a Shupe property located in the Borough of Madison,
Westmoreland County,Pennsylvania,said lot being 55 feet b~130 feet
ana being now occupied by James Farrow,tenant.
3.~JIy property in Monessen,Westmoreland County,
Pennsylvania,located on Knox Avenue conveyed to me or hereafter to
be conveyed to me by my son,E.Denny Brown.
In case of the death during my lifetime of anyone of

the above named children of my son,~illiam Brown,deceased,the share
in my estate bequeathed by me to such one of the children of my son,
William Brown,deceased,shall go to the heirs at law of such child of
my son,William Brown,deceased.
SIXTH:I give and bequeath the sum of Five Hundred ($500.00)
Dollars,free of inheritance tax to the Reformed Congregati 0 n of Seanor,
Pa.
SEV@TTH:I give,devise and bequeath the following properties
to the following named persons as follows:
1.My farm located in Smith Township,Washington County,
Pennsylvania,known as the Vance Farm,containing 175 Acres.
2.My Oil and Gas Rights in a farm of 108 Acres located
in Smith Township,Washington County,Pennsylvania,which I sold to
John A.Bell,reserving said Oil and Gas Rights.
3.My farm of approxinately 25 Acres,more or less,
located in Madison Borough,Westmoreland County,Pennsylvania,known as
the L.K.Kintigh Farm,occupied at this time by John Hardie,tenant.
This devise is subject to a lease of a part of said tract of land to
E.C.Garlow.
4.M~farm of 20 Acres,haVing thereon a producing Gas Well
located in Madison Borough,Westmoreland County,Pennsylvania,known
as the George Shrader Farm.
5.My farm located ln Hempfield Township,Westmoreland
County,Pennsylvania,containing 45 Acres,more or less,known as the
Jacob Eisaman Farm.
6.My farm located in Madison Borough,Westmoreland County,
Pennsylvania,known as the John R.Kintigh Farm,containing 10 Acres
and situate near Madison Borough School House,which was willed to me
by.John R.Kintigh.
7.My Oil and Gas Rights and both veins of the Freeport
Coal ano mining rights in and unaerl~ing a certain tract of land located

in Sewickley Township,Westmoreland County,Pennsylvania,known as the
Elliott Farm,said farm being owned at this time by John and Sophia
Rucyz,containing approximately 150 Acres,which oil and gas rights and
veins of Freeport Coal and mining rights were reserved when I sold said
farm.
8.The Freeport veins of coal and mining rights
In and under a certain tract of land in Hempfield Township,Westmore-
land County,Pa.,containing 80 Acres,more or less,known as the A. A.
Ruff farm and which farm was sold by me to John Mordavenetz and which
~reeDort veins of coal were reserved when said farm was sold.
9.~~y undivided one half interest in a tract of land and mining
rights purchased along with said coal located in Madison Borough,West-
moreland County,Pa.,which tract of coal is known as the Whyel Coal and
which was purchased by James N.White and me.
10.My Oil and Gas rights in a farm of 2Q Acres located in
Sewickley Township,Westmoreland County,Pa.,known as the Nfursh Farm and
which farm I sold to Frank Lord reserving the oil and gas rights •.
11.My Oil and Gas Rights in a farm of approximately 72 Acres
located in Sewickley Township,17estmoreland County,Pa.,known as the Shoe-
maker Farm,which farm I sold to Frank Lord,reserving the oil and gas
rights.
12.My Oil and Gas Rights in a farm located in Hempfield Township,
Westmoreland County,Pa.,known as the Brisbine Farm,which farm I sold to
R.C.Campbell,the same containing approxi~Btely 60 Acres and which farm
was sold reserving the oil and gas rights.
13.My Oil and Gas Rights in a farm of approxi~ately 20 Acres,
located in Hempfield Township,Westmoreland County,Pa.,known as the
Baldridge Farm,which farm is now owned by Nicholas Packey and which farm
was sold by me,reserving the oil and gas rights.
I14.My Oil and Gas Rights in a farm of approximately 35 Acres of
land located in Hempfield Township,We3tmoreland,Pa:,known as a part

and the freeport and four foot veins of coal and mining rights.
16.My Brick House and the lot on which it is erected located on
the East Side of :Main Street in Madison Borough,Westmoreland County,Pa.,
said lot being 30 feet by 90 feet and now occupied by Fred Valara,tenant.
17-My ~rame house and the lot on which it 1S erected located
on the East Side of Main Street in Madison Borough,Westmoreland County,
Pa.,said lot being 30 feet by 90 feet and being now occupied by Ralph
Dawson,tenant.
18.My brick house and the lot on which it is erected located
on the East Side of Main Street in Madison Borough,Westmoreland County,
Pa.,said lot being 60 feet by 120 feet and being now occunied by
~illiam Nesbit,tenant.
The properties mentioned and referred to in this the
SEVENTH paragraph of my will I give,devise and bequeath as follows:

Thomas B.Brovvn,Jr.,and my Friend,James N.Thite,executors of this
my last Will and Testament and direct that they shall not be required to
give bond.
