and declare this my last will and testament:
FIRST:I direct my executors to pay all m~just debts
and funeral expenses as soon as convenient after my decease.
SECOND:I give and bequeath to my son,Shiras Campbell,
all my household goods and.furniture,rugs,books,pictures,
bric-a-brac,linen,silver,china,glassware,watohes,
jewelry,firearms,boats,canoes,wagons,carriages and all
consumable stores,and household utensils whatsoever and
wheresoever situate.
THIRD:I give,devise and bequeath all my real property
in the State of New Hamp shire an d my house and lot where I
now reside,known and designated as number 441 westmUditer
Avenue,in the Oity of Elizabet h,Cwnty of Union end State
of New Jersey,it not disposed ot at the time of my death to
my son,Shiras Campbell,his heirs and assigns torever.
FOURTH:I give and bequeath to Lillian Campbell,widow
ot my brother,A.Hamilton Campb ell,if she be liv ing at the
time of my death,Five Thousand Dollars <$5,000).If Lillian
Camp~ell dies betore 1m,I give and bequeath said sum of
$5,000 to my nieoe,Marguerite Adair Campbell and my nephew,
Howell P.Campbell,in equal shares,and I desire this legacy
to my said nieoe and nephew to be in addition to the legaoies
to them hereinafter given.
FIFI'H:I give and bequeath to my nieoe,Marguerite
Adair Campbell Three Thousand Dollars <$~,OOO).
SIXTH:I give and bequeath to my nephew,Howell P.
Campbell,One Thousand Dollars ($1,000).
SEVENTH:I 81ve and beqllaeth to my nephew,G.Bartrem
Woodruff,One Thousand Dollars ($1,000).

EIGHTH 2 I give and beClJeath to J'ames L.Coburn,if
living at the time of my death,in reoognition of his faithful
servioes,Five Hundred Dollars ($500).
NINTH:I give aDd bequeat h to Annie Burke,if in my
employ at the t iDe of my death,in reoogni tion of her faithful
servioes,Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars (250).
TENTH:I direo t my exeoutor s to pay the foregoing
legaoies without interest as soon as oonvenient after my
deoease,and it is my will that all inheritanoe or suocession
taxes on said legacies,shall be paid by my exeoutors out of
the residue of my estate.
ELEVENTH:As to my coal property in Washington County
Pennsylvania,being an undivided one-third in the Pittswrgh
or River vein of coal in and UDder t re Auld end Aroher tract s,
arch mining and other rights appurtenant,as set forth in a
deed to me reoorded at Washington,Pennsylvania,my undivided
interest being equal in severalty to about 113 aores,I hereby
authorize and direot my exeoutors to sell the ssme at publio
or private sale,as to them seems best and at Sloh time or
times as they may choose and at such price and upon suoh terms
of payment as seems best to them,and I authorize them,in
their absolute discretion,to take payment by exohanging said
property for other property,or stock in or bonds of,any
operating ooal conoern in Southwestern Pennsylvania,I direot
my exeoutors to turn O'lfJr in kind the prooeeds of suoh sale
or exchange to Union County Trust Cc:mpany,my trustee
hereinafter named,as part of the residue of my personal,
estate to be held by it in trust for the purposes hereinafter
set forth.
TWELFTH:I direot my executors to take all the rest,
residue and remainder of my personal estate,after the payment

of my debts,taxes and ,aamin1stration expenses aDd the
speoifio legaoies here inbetore set forth,and to pay am turn
over said residue in kind,within one year after my death,or
as soon thereafter as praotioable,to Union County Trust
Oompany,of Elizabeth,New Jersey,to be held by said trust
oompany in trust as hereinafter Bet forth.
1.I direotmy said trustee to hold said residue and.to
invest and keep invested and to re-invest the same end to
oolleot and reoeive the interest,income and dividends there-
from and,after paying all taxes and the expenses of admini-
stration,to pay the net inoome,free from any liability,
lien or attaohment of his creditors to my son,Shires Campbell,
during his natural life and a t his death to pay over the
principal of said trust fund,with any accumulations,in equal
shares,to the ohildren of my sald son,or to their guardian
or guardians during their minority the issue of any deoea 8d
ohild of my said son to take per stirpes,the same share their
parent would have taken if the parent bad survived.It is my
Will,and I so direot and deolare that my son,Shlras
Campbell,shall have no right to antioipate,allenate,
mortgage,pledge or assign he said De t ino OD ln whole or in
part and that the same shall not be subjeot to attaohment,
exeoution,seizure or sequestration by his oredi tors,by any
legal process or prooedure whatsoever,either at law or ln
equity.If at any time my said son shall attempt to antioi-
pate,fU1enate,mortgage,pledge,or assign said net inoome
or any part thereof,or shall become bankrupt or inso~vent,
or any attempt sball be made by any of his oreditors to attaoh
levy upon,seize or sequestrate sal d net ino cme,then my said
son's right to reoelve the same shall absolutely oease for the

rest ot his lite and the said trus tee shall apply tor same tor
the support,maintenanoe and benetit of my sai d son in any
way it may deem best.It is my will and I do hereby deolare
that no suoh estate,title or right to income as hereinbetore
provided is hereby given to my said son as would enable him
to assign,transter,pl dge mortgage or alienate any inoome
provided tor him herein or as wou~d make said income or any
part thereof liable to lien,attaohment,exeoution,seques-
tration or other pr ooess at law or in equity,for any debt
ot my sai d son.
2.It my son,Shiras Campb ell,dies wi thoo.t issue but
leaving a widow him surviving,I direot my trustee to pay over
to said widow one-halt of the net income from said trust fund,
to be paid to her during her Datural life or until such time
as she re-marries.The other half of the net inoome from said
trust fUnd,I direct my trustee to pay to my nieoe,Marguerite
Adair CamIbell,until such time a s my son's widow die s or
re-marrie s .When said widow die s or re-marrie s,as atoresaid,
I desire my trustee to termina te said trust by paying over
two-thirds of said trust tund in kind to my niece Marguerite
Adair Campbell,end one-third of said trust fund in kind to
my nephew,Howell P.Campbell.
3.If my son,Shiras Campbell,d1es unmarried and with-
out lawful issue him surviving,I direct my trustee to there-
upon terminate said trust by paying over two~thirds ot said
trust fund in kind to my said nieoe,Marguerite Adair Camp bell
aDd one-thlrd of',sal d trust f'und in kind to my nephew,
Howell P.Campbell.
THIRTEENTH:If my son,Shiras Campbell,shall not sur-
vive me and shall leave no widow or lawful issue him sur-
viving,I give,devise and bequeath,a1.1 the rest,residue

and reminder of my estate,real and personal am wheresoever
situat to my nieoe,Karguar1te Adair Campbell,and my nephew,
Howell P.Campbell,the1r heirs and assigns forever,to be
divided between them as follows:
Two-thirds of said residue to Marguerite Adair Campbell,
one-third of said residue to Howell P.Campbell.
FOURTEENTH:I hereby constitute and appoint my son,Shiras
Oampbell,my nieoe,Marguerite Adair Campbell,and my nephew,
G.Bartram Woodruff,and the survivor or survivors ot them,or
the ones who qualify as such,the executors of this,my last
will and testament and it is my will that none of my exeoutors
shall be required to g1ve ~onds or other secur ity betore being
authorized to act under this will,in any jurisdiotion
whatsoever.
FIFTEENTH:I hereby constitute and appoint Union County
Trust Company of Elizabeth,New Jersey,my trustee to carry
out the trusts herein set torth,and it is my will that my
trustee shall not be requ1r ed to g1.ve bonds or other seouri'ty
before being authorized to aot under this will in any juris-
diction Whatsoever.
SIXTEENTH:During the tine when my estate is in prooess
ot settlement and befor e the trust fUm created herein tor the
benetit ot my son has been paid over to my trustee by my
exeoutor s,I authorize end empower my exeout ors,in their
disoretion,to payout of the income from t.he residue of my
estate such amounts from time to t 1me,as in th e1r judgment
may be necessary and proper tor the support and maintenanoe of
my said son,but not to exceed in the aggregate three thousand
dollars in anyone year,until such time as said residue has
been paid over to my trustee in acoordance with tb9 provisions
ot this,my will.

SEVENTEENTH:I authorize and direct my trustee,in its
disoretion,having regard for the best interests or my estate,
to continue to hold as part of the trust estate all property,
owned by me at the time of my death and conveyed to my said
trustee by my execut ors,81though some or even all of such
property may be of a kind not authorized by law for trustees
to invest in.
EIGHTEENTH:It is my will that upon my death,burial
services shall be oonduoted in Saint john's Churoh at
Elizabeth,Ne jersey,atter whioh it is my will that my body
be oremated and that my ashes be buried in my lot in Evergreen
Cemetery,Elizabeth,New Jersey,on the westerly side of my
beloved wife's grave aDd that upon the burial of my ashes
the oommi~servioe be read.

use the incane therefrom for the relie f of the siok and suffer-
ing.I give this fund as a memorial to Mary Purvianoe Shiras
Campbell and Benjamin Howell CamIbell.
THIRD:I give and beq~ath to the FEmily Welfare Soo1 ety
of Elizabeth,the Elizabeth Society for the prevention of
Cruelty to ChiJ.dren in the state of New Jersey tnree thousand
dollars <$3.000),to invest and keep the sam invested and to
use the inooD2 therefrom.to furthe r the aims and purposes of
said ~oo1ety.I give this fund as a Dl9mor1al to Benjamin
Howell Campbell.

Inventory.
Account.
The following duties are prescribed by the Orphans'Court Act,as Revised,P.L.1898,Page 715,&c.
Sec.58 requires every executor and administr3tor to file an inyentory with the Surrogate
within three months from his appointment;if he fails to do so it becomes the duty of the Surrogate
to report such neglect to the Orphans'Court,and if the court so dil'ect,to issue citation compelling
the filing of such inventory;and in case of continned default the court shall revoke the letters
issued.
Sees.114 and 116 direct the filing of an account by every executor and administrator within
one year after appointment.
Sec.117.If any executor or administrator neglects to render an account for the space of two
years it becomes the duty of the Surrogate to re port such neglect to the Orphans'Court,and,
under the direction of the court,to issue citation compelling an accounting;and in case of con-
tinued default the court shall remove such executor or administrator from office,and he shaH pay
the costs out of his private estate and forfeit his commission.
