LAST WILL AND mSTAMENT. ..., I,RUDOLF HANAU,of the Borough of East Washington,Washing ton County,Pennsylvania,do make,pUblish and declare the follow- ing to be my Last Will and Testament; First.I direct that all my just debts and the liabil- ities of my estate,including all inheritance taxes,be paid and discharged as soon as conveniently may be after my dece~se(•. Second.I give and bequeath to my wife,Johanna Hanau, as her absolute property,all my personal effects,such as jewelry, household furniture,and all other articles of domestic and personal use in and about the home where we now.reside or elsewhere;she also to have the sole use and enjoyment during her lifetime of the house and lot in which we now live,after which time it shall re- vert to and become part of my residuary estate. Third.All the rest,residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal,I give,devise and bequeath unto The Citizen National Bank of Washington,and its successors,to be held in trust,nevertheless,for the uses and purposes and with the powers as follows:(feeling that"due consideration will be given to the wishes of my beneficiaries herein) (1)To sell any real estate which may at any time form part of my estate,"for such prices,upon such te~ns,in such wayan manner,as may be deemed wise,and to make good deeds therefor,to the purchasers thereof,without any obligation on the latter to see to,or be responsible for,the application of the purchase money. (2)To make alterations and improvements to real estate. (3)To hold and retain any investment of which I may die possessed;and to make any compromises which to it may seem proper.I (4)To act with the same powers over the trust property as it would possess were it the actual owner thereof. (5)To invest and reinvest,alter,.vary and change in- vestments and reinvestments from time to'time at discretion,not being confined to what are now or may hereafter be considered as "legal investments"for fiduciaries in the Commonwealth Of Pennsyl- vania. ~..... (6)To pay over to my wife,Johanna Hanau,during her lifetime,all the net income from my estate for her maintenance and support;and if,for any reason,during the lifetime of my said wife,the net income from my estate be not sufficient for her com- fortable maintenance and support,then and in that event I authorize and empower the said Trustee,in its discretion,to use such part of the corpus of my said estate as may be necessary for that purpose. (7)In case my said wife should not leave,at her de- cease,sufficient estate for the payment of her debts,funeral ex- penses,etc.,I direct the said Trustee to pay any deficit out of either the income or corpus of my estate. (8)Upon the decease of my said wife,(or in the event she shall elect not to take under this my Will,)to divide the re- mainder of my estate into two equal parts or shares and to pay over the net income from one part or share to my daughter,Margaret Pessel,for and during the period of her lifetime,and the net in- come from the other part or share to my daughter,Helen,for and during her lifetime;should the income from either share be in- sufficient for any necessary maintenance and support for said daughter and any children she has or may have,then and in that event I authorize and empower the said Trustee,in its discretion, -2- [ .. to pay unto her so much out of the corpus of her share as shall be necessary for such purpose.All of which shall be done,however, for the sole and separate uses of my said daughters,notwithstanding any covertures and not to be in any way or manner whatever liable to the contracts,debts or engagements of any husband which either may now have or ever after have or take,and not to be in any way or manner whatsoever subject to the control,influence or interference of such husbands. (9)Upon the decease of either of my said daughters,to pay over,assign and convey the remainder of the said one-half interest to and amongst her then living descendants per stirpes upon the principle of representation;and in the case either of my said daughters shall die without leaving to survive her any lineal de- scendants as aforesaid,then I direct that my said Trustee shall hold said portion or share of my estate for the benefit of my sur- viving daughter,as heretofore provided,or,if such daughter is then deceased,pay over,assign and convey said share to her lineal descendants,as the case may be;and in the case both of my said daughters shall die without leaving lineal descendants surviving,I then direct that the residue of my estate shall be distributed to I and among my other heirs and next-of-kin in accordance with the pro- visions of the intestate laws of this Commonwealth. Fourth.And I do hereby nominate,constitute and appoint my wife,Johanna Hanau,as the Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament.
