I George Ewing,at present residing in the city of Washington,
District of Columbia,do make and publish and declare this my
last will and t estament-
I direct my executors,hereinafter named,to pay my just debts
and funeral expenses-
I give and bequeath to my wife,Laura C.Ewing all my furni-
ture and books.
All the rest and residue of my estate,whether real or per-
sonal,I give devise and bequeath to my said wife and the Ameri-
can Security and Tru.st Company,a corporation existing and doing
business in the District of Columbia,to be by my wife and said
Company held in and upon the trusts following and none other,to
wit:To take,hold and manage the same and invest and reinvest
the same as in their judgment may seem best for the interests
of my estate with full power to sell and convey the same or any
part thereof,the proceeds of any such sales to be invested and.
held in and upon the same trusts that are hereby created;that
is to say,to pay to my S aid wife the entire net income arising
from said estate for and during the term of her natural life.
Upon the death of my wife I direct that my surviving execu-
tor to convey my said estate in equal parts to my brothers and
sisters,and half sister,and in case a brother or sister has
died or shall die the share of such brother or sister shall
go to his or her child or children-
I make constit~and appoint my said wife and said Ameri-
can Security and Trust Company,the executors of this my wil1-

Supplement to my will-
After the death of my wife and before the distribution of my es-
tate provided for by my will,dated ~anuary loth,1903,I direot
that the sum of Five Thousand ~ollars be paid to my sister,Florence~
B.Ewing,this sum to be in addition to that to which she will be
entitled under an equal division of the remainder to the estate
as provided in the will of January 10.ii@~.1903.

Upon consideration of the petition of the American Security
and Trust Company and Laura C.Ewing.and o~the Waivers of Cita-
tion of all of the heirs at law and next of kin of said George
Ewing save and except Margaret Hamilton,as to whom due publica-
tion has been made as will appear by the affidavit of William A.
McKenney,Attorney,herewith filed,and it appearing to the Court
that the will of said decedent and one codicil thereto.said will be-
ing dated en thetenth day of ~anlmry 1903,and said codicil be-
ing marked lIsupplement to my will"and bearing date.of :Uov.18-
1904 have been duly filed and the exeoution thereof proved by
the oaths of John G.Schroeder,Watson F.Clark and James F.Hood,
and the supplement to said will having been duly proved by John
C.Schroeder and Watson F.Clark.the subscribing witnesses
thereto,and no objection having been signified to the Court
it is this 4th day of May A.D.1909,ordered,adjudged and de-
creed that said will and codicil thereto be admitted to probate
and record.and that letters testamentary thereon do issue unto
Laura d.Ewing and the American Security and Trust Company,the
executors by said will appointed,upon said Laura C.Ewing giv-
ing bond in the sum of $lOOOO.xx for the faithful discharge of
her trust.
