($3000.00)do~. and purposes following,that is to say:upon trust that th~y shall invest and reinvest the same in good and safe securities,' and collect and receive the interest,income and dividends thereof, and from time to time aS,and when the same shall be received,pay over the net income of my estate to my sister,~.'argaret D.Clark for and during the term of her natural life. After the death of my said sister Margaret D.Clark,I direct that the net income of my trust estate shall be distributed quarter-annually as follows: The ohe-half (1/2)thereof to my brother James M.Clark \-...; ••• for and during the term of his natural life. The one-half (1 /2)thereat to my niece Margaret Clark Seeley for and during the term of her natural life. Upon the death of my brother James 1.Clark the one-fourth (1/4)of the income of my trust estate,(being one-half of the in- come theretofore payable to James lli.Clark),shall be paid to Vir- ginia J.Clark for and during the term of her natural life or un- til such time as she may remarry,and the remaining one-fourth (1/4) of the income of my trust estate,(being the other one-half of the income theretofore payable to James M.Clark),shall be paid to my said niece Margaret Clark Seeley. In the event that my said niece 11argaret Clark Seeley should die without iss~e and prior to the death of James M.Clark and prior to the death dr remarriage of Virginia ~.Clark,then I direct that the net income of my said ,trust estate shall be di- vided equally between the said James M.Clark and Virginia J. Clark during their joint lives;and in the event that the said James M.Clark survives Virginia J.Clark,the whole of said in- come shall be paid to the said James 1 •Clark for and during the term of his natural life.In the event that the said Virginia J. Clark shall survive the said James M.Clark,the whole of said in- come shall be paid to her during the term of her natural life,or until her remarriage. I direct that the income of my trust estate aforesaid shall be paid direct to the above named beneficiaries as hereinabove pro- vided so that the same shall be for the sale and separat.e use of my said beneficiaries,and not in their power or control nor liable to their debts,contra~ts or engagements of any kind whatsoever. Upon the death of my said niece 11argaret Clark Seeley,if she shall leave issue surviving her at the time of her death,I di- rect that the corpus of my trust estate (after providing for the life estate of James M.Clark and Virginia J.Clark),shall be •• distributed among the issue of my said niece Margaret Clark Seeley, share and share alike.Upon the termination of the life estate of the said James 1.Clark and Virginia J.Clark,any part of the corpus withheld,shall also be distributed to and among the issue of my said niece,Margaret Clark Seeley as hereinabove provided. If at the death of my said niece I'argaret CJa rk Seeley she shall leave no issue surviving her,the corpus of my trust estate, after the termination of the life estates hereinabo~e created, shall be distributed to ~'ashington Seminary,Washington,Pa.,in the event that it is still functioning as a school,-either a boarding or a day school.In the event that said Washingto n Sem- inary shall have ceased to so function,then the whole corpus of my estate shall be distributed to ~ashington and Jefferson College,I and (unless a chapel shall have been erected prip~:to the receipt of said fund),the same shall be used for the erection of a chapel as a memorial to my great grandfather,Rev.Matthew Henderoon. Fifth.It is my desire and I hereby direct that my trus- tees,in making investments of the funds of my estate,shall not be restricted to such investments as are legal investments under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.I desire them to make only such investments as they deem to be safe and conserva- tive,but authorize them to invest in any safe,conservative,well- seasoned securities which they may deem advisable.
