following: First:There are many artioles of household furniture,silverware,beds,bedding.and other chattels of various kinds in the old home where I have lived all my life, some of which have considerable intrinsic value,and 80me of whi ch have little intrinsic value,but many of which I have cherished and preserved because of their history and the asso- cia.tions connected therewith.I feel that these articles would be appreciated by my near relatives and friends for the same reason.It is my will,therefore,and I hereby direct that the said articles,hereinafter enumerated and mentioned,be not sold but distributed in kind.To that end,I hereby give and be- queath the said articles to the persons and in the manner severally indicated below • 1.To my nephew,Thomas M.Bigger.of Columbus,Ohio,the old clock in the sitting room,the old English Gun,and one-half (~)of the old Communion Glass,in my possession.These arti- cles are given to him in addition to the old Pestle Rnd Mortar and the marriage certificate and church certificntes of my grandfather and grandmother Bigger,which I have heretofore given to him. 2.To my neph~w,~ndrew D.Bigger,the tall Chest of Draw- ers. 3.To my niece,Jane Bigger.daughter of my brother Thomas, deceased,the writing desk of my sister Ann,deceased,and the mirror in my room.These articles I give and bequeath to her, in addition to the blue and white coverlet that I have already given to her. 4.To my nephew,Andrew Donaldson,the piotures of my father and mother. -~ 5.To my niece,Jane Elizabeth Donaldson,the large mirror in th e upper fro nt bedroom,aID.th e dressing table under said mirror. 6.To my nephew,Thomas R.Donaldson,one-half (t)dozen of sterling teaspoons. 7.To my ne~hew,Matthew J.Donaldson,the old grandfather clock. niece,Ida Bigger Wilson,the low spinning wheel. 19.To my grand-niece,Ida Wilson,daughter of my said deoeased niece,Ida Bigger Wilson,the marble top stand in the upper front bedroom. 20.To my nephew,Richard J.Donaldson,one-half (t)dozen sterling teaspoons. ~ 21.To my niece,Elizabeth M.Donaldson,the davenport in the lower front room,the old cherry bedstead in the attic, grandmother Martin's quilt,and one-half (t)dozen sterling tablespoons. 22.To my nephew,John M.Donaldson,Washington,Pa.,fjrand- mother Martin's Chest of Drawers in the upper front bedroom, given to me by her,and one-half (t)of the old Communion Glass. 23.To my sister,Jane Bigger McBride,the settee on the back porch,our mother's rocking chair,our mother's ring,the canopy bedstead,and her choice of the old quilts.These arti- cles I give and bequeath to her in addition to six (6)sterling table spoons,and six (6)sterling desert spoons,that I have given to her. 24.To my niece,Beatrice McBride,my sister Martha's Breast Pin and my father's Chest of Drawers. 25.To :ny Brother,Reverend Samuel Bigger,the Bible in the covered box,and his choice of the books and as many of them as he may desire. 26.To Elizabeth Hood,daughter of my Cousin,Mary Jane Hood,the pictures of her grand father and g«!andmother,and my Uncle and Aunt,Isaac and Betsy McBride. 27.To my man-servant,John Berniski,Commonly known as "John:'the bed and bedding,and whatever else is in his room,I excepting,however,the chest,household linen,and my clothes. 28.To my hired man,Fleming Vance,the white iron bedstead. and bedding thereon,in the lower front bedroom.I 29.To Etta McKee McCabe,daughter of my former pastor,I Revere.nd W.R.Me Kee ,D.D.,the photographs of her father aYJd mother. 30.To my friend,LueJla McKee,daughter of my said former pastor,the photograph of herself as a little girl.I 31.All the rest and residue of the books,linens,and ! dishes,in the old home,shall oe divided by my niece Jane Bigger, daughter of my brother,Thomas,and my niece,Jane Elizabeth Donaldson,and shall he distributed and delivered b.'l them to such person or persons,and in such quantities as they,my said nieces in their discretion,shall deem best,giving,however,to my ......... sister,Jane,her choice of the quilts. 32.All the rest and residue of the household goods,furni- ture and kitchen utensils,remaining in the old home,after dis- tribution has been made,to the persons and in the manner herein- before set forth,I give,and beqneath to my hired man,Fleming Vance. It is my Will,and I hereby direct,that the Collateral Inheritance Tax due the Commonwealt h of Pennsylvania,upon the articles hereinbefore bequeathed in this Codicil,sMl be paid out of my estate,and toot the a-bove named legatees thereof shall receive and enjoy the same free from any obligation to p~the said tax. Second.In consideration of his many years of service to me and my brother,Matthew,now deceased,and his earnest devo- tion to our best interests,I give and bequeath to my said hired man,Fleming Vance,a team of horses from my farm (giving him his choice of horses),a set of harness and a wagon.It is my will also,and I hereby direct,that the said Fleming Vance shall have the use and occupancy,free of rent,for the term of one (1) year,beginning on the j"irst day of A'pril,first succeeding and following my decease,the farm upon which I reside,and in which I have and own an undivided one-half (t)interest in fee,and in the other one-half of which I have only a life estate,devised to me by my sister,Ann Ewing.In order th~t this devise to Fleming Vance,0 f the use and occupancy of the whole of said farm for the term of one (1)year as aforesaid,may be approved and confirmed by the devisees of the remainder over in said farm,under the will of the said Ann Ewing,deceased,I do hereby expressly provide that the bequests contained in my said Will,dated July 27th,1918,and given by me therein to the persons who are also devisees of the said remainder over,shall be received and enjoyed by said legatees and devisees,on condit ion,and only UTlon the conditj on that they, the said legatees,shall approve and confirm the above devise of the use and occupancy of said farm as a whole,to Fleming Vance,as aforesaid,and that they,the said legatees,shall allow him to have th€use and occupancy of their interests in said farm,free of rent,for the term of one (1)year,beeinning the first day of Apri 1,immediately follow ing and succeeding my decease. During the lifetime of my said two sisters and my said brother, or the survivor or survivors of them,I do hereby authorize and direct my said Trustees to invest such portion of the trust fund which is hereinset aside for their benefit,as my said trustees may deem unnecessary for the immeciate payment of said annuities,in first mortgages upon real estate,and collect the income arising from such investment,which income shall be add- ec to the corpus of said fund as received.
