Last Will and Testament
of
Grace Gess·ford
I,Grace Gessford,being of sound and disposing mind and memory,do make,
publish and declare the following to be my last will and testament,hereby
revoking any and all wills heretofore made:
First.I direct my executor hereinafter named to pay all my just debts
and funeral expenses.
Second.(a)I give and bequeath my TV Set in living room to my sister,
Edna G.Liggett.
(b)I give and bequeath my white gold finger ring set with a
diamond and two sapphires to my sister,Mabel G.Weaver.
(c)I give and bequeath my platinum little finger ring set with
a cluster of diamonds to my sister,Pauline G.Carter.
(d)I give and bequeath my white gold wr~st watch set with
diamonds,and the wrist watch bracelet,also my adding machine and
typewriter to my niece,Catherine R.Liggett.
(e)I give and bequeath my white gold bar pin set with
diamonds,also the pair of Cranberry Vases on mantle in dining room
to my niece,Anna S.Weaver.
(f)I give and bequeath my pair of crystal glass birds to my
niece,Louise C.Allen.
(g)I give and bequeath to my brother,V.Clyde Gessford,
and my sisters,Edna Caroline Liggett,Mabel Florenoe Weaver,and
Pauline Marie Carter,and my nephew,Donald M.Allen,Jr.,my one-
sixth (1/6)interest in.the rentals and gas wells of and on the "Home
Farm",as reserved in our deed to Earl Bryan Cale,and his wife,
dated Deoember 21,.1955,and recorded in our Recorder's Office in
Deed Book 951,page 180.
Third.I authorize,empower,order and direct that the
remainder of my estate,whether real,personal or mixed,be
converted into oash and distributed as follows:
(a)I give and bequeath Five Hundred and nO/IOO
($500.00)Dollars to my housekeeper,Helen Courtwright.
(b)I give and bequeath One Hundred and 00/100
($100.00)Dollars to e~oh of my following grand-nieoes and
grand-nephews:Mary Patrioia Liggett,Robert Liggett,Thomas
Liggett,Judith Ann Liggett,Barbara Liggett,Nancy Jane Liggett,
Carolyn L.Fowler,Dawn S.Harris,James K.Harris,Riohard W.
Harris,Elizabeth Ann Weaver,Susan Weaver,Erika Weaver,
Thomas M.Weaver,Nanoy Daniels,Susan M.Daniels,Amy Louise
Allen,Miohael A.Allen,David C.Allen.
(0)All the rest,residue and remainder of my estate
I give and bequeath to my brother V.Clyde Gessford,my sisters,
Edna G.Liggett,Mabel G.Weaver and Pauline G.Carter,my
nieces,Patricia Liggett Harris and Pauline C.Daniels,and my
nephews,Merle G.Liggett,Harold W.Liggett,Maurice S.Weav9r,
Brinton G.Carter,Jr.,and Donald M.Allen,Jr.,share and share
alike.
Fourth.If,in the conversion of my estate into oash,it
becomes necessary to sell any real estate,I hereby authorize
and empower my ececutor to sell same either at public or private
sale and to execute and deliver a good and sufficient deed or
deeds to convey the same.
Fifth.I authorize,order and direct my executor to p~y
all transfer,inheritanoe and any estate taxes which may be
payable upon the above gifts and legaoies,and that the benefic-
iaries be not charged therewith,to the end that the bequests
shall be received in fU11 by the beneficiaries.
Sixth.I he~eby nominate,constitute and appoint my
nephew,Merle G.Liggett as the executor of this,my last
will and testament.
In WITNESS 'IHEREOF,I hereunto affix my signature and
seal this 23rd.day of June 1965.
