Enolosed herewith a photographio reproduction of
the ill of my brother,the late Colonel frank B.Hawkins,middle
name Burson,in accordanoe with my conversation with you over the
phone today.Please be kind enough to have depositions made out
for Col.Thomas •Brown,Infantry,Ohaplain Capt.Alfred C.,Oliver,
Jr.,and Capt.William C.Porter,M.C.,ready for their signatures
and send to Major William 1.Sheep,0.,Exeoutive 6ffioer,alter
.Reed General Hospital,Medioal Center,Washington,D.C.,requesting
him to have the depositions made bytthese witnesses before a Notary
Publio.All of the witnesses are in the {alter Heed Hospital.
Please be kind enough to exp6dite this matter and if at all possible
mail to Major Sheep to-morrow,Friday December 27th.Also request

Pursuant to your request of January 2d,
and in E!.ccordance with your request that the
matter have immediate attention,I have this
day taken the proof of Major illiam Porter
and Chaplain A.C.Oliver,Jr.,at Walter Reed
Hospital,this city,to the will of Frank B.
Hawkins,deceased,dated the 6th day of IDeDa~~,
1929.
You will note that I had Major Porter
specify that he was then Captain Porter;that
both witnesses indicate that the signing was
by mark;and that the Chaplain states the third
wit ness is now out of'this oity •My intormat1 on
is that the third witness is now at Fort Benning,
Georgia.The Chaplain added "Jr.It to his name
at his own request,and in accordance with his
signature to the will,and I have,therefore,so
identified hDm in my return.
Herewith I hand you the original Will,
the commission,fully executed,and statement to
the estate.These will be registered,and return
Eeceipt requested.
