LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT.
I,SAMUEL S.DUNBAR,of C~oss C~eek Township,Washington
County,Pennsylvania,do make,publish and declare this,my
Last Will and Testament,he~eby revoking any and all wills here-
tofore made by me.
1.I direct my exeaXors,hereinafter named,to pay
my funeral bill and all other debts as soon as reasonably con-
venient after my death.
2.I give and devise to my wife,Anna Mary Dunbar,
for and during the term of her natural life,the home farm on
which I now reside,this farm consisting of approximately 132
acres,and having been conveyed to me in three tracts,as
follows:A tract of 75 acres,more or less,from Lena Dall-
meyer et con.,in 1914,the deed for the same being of record
in the Recorder's Office for Washington County in Deed Book 418
page 620;a tract of 8 acres,more or less,from Gottlieb
Dallmeyer et ux.,in 1919,the deed for the same being of record
in the aforesaid office in Deed Book 474 page 132;and a tract
of 51!acres,more or less,from Walter Emmett Cooper et ux.,
in 1938,the deed for the same being of record in the aforesaid
office in Deed Book 622 page 141.Upon the death of my said
wife,I give and devise to my daughter,Martha B.Say,a lot of
ground from said farm of approximately 3/4 of an acre,said lot
being bounded on the West by the public road leading from Cross
Creek Village to Rea Station;on the East by Home Avenue;on the
South by Brick Lane;and on the North by lots of Harry Wilson an
Chester Fryer,and the remainder of s&d farm I give and devise,
at the neath of my said wife,to my grand-son,Samuel Lester SaY,
(my wife is to pay the taxes on said farm during her lifetime).
3.I give and bequeath to my said wife,Anna Mary Dun ar,

absolutely,all household goods,furniture,dishes,silverware,
etc.,in the house in which I now reside,and all the livestock,
farming equipment and machinery on the home farm (described
in paragraph 2 hereof)at the time of my death.
4.I give,devise and bequeath to my daughter,Martha
B.say,three adjoining tracts situate in Cross Creek Township,
Washington County,Pennsylvania:one known as the Joe vance
farm,containing 108 acres,more or less,and which I purchased
in 1938 from the heirs of Joe Vance,the deed for the same
being of record in the Recorder's Offic~for Wash~ngton
County,in Deed Book 624 page 511;and one known as the Hattie
Lee farm,containing 123 acres,more or less,which I purchased
in 1941,at a Partition sale,deed for the same being of record
in the aforesaid office in Deed Book 644 page 50?;and a tract
of five acres of ground conveyed to me by w.P.Allen and M.
Eleanor Allen,his wife,by deed dated June 6,1944,and of
record in the aforesaid office in Deed Book Vol.681 page 202.
(this tract being originally a part of the Joe Vance farm}
together with all the livestock,farming equipment and machinery
which may be on said tracts at the time of my deat~.
5.All the rest,residue and remainder ·Jf my estate,
real,personal and mixed,I give,devise and bequeath to my wife,
Anna Mary Dunbar,and to my daughter,Martha B.Sal,in equal
shares.
As Executor and Executrix of this will I appoint my
grand-son,Samuel Lester Say,and my wife,Anna Mary Dunbar.
In the event of the death of Samuel Lester Say,or his inability
o~refusal to serve,I appoint G.Ashton Brownlee to serve as
one of the executors of this will.I direct th~t my executor

choose as appraisers of my personal property John S.Patton,
of Washington,Pennsylvania,and E.Denney Brown,of Cross
Creek Village,Wahington County,Pennsylvania,and that they
employ G.Ashton Brownlee as their attorney in the settlement
of my estate.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF,I have hereunto set my hand and seal
this 8th day of June,1946.

presence of each other,have hereunto set our hands as

I,SA L S.DUNBAR,of Cross Creek Township,Washin~
ton County,Pennsylvania,do hereby declare this to be a Codicil
to my Last ill bearing date of June 8,1946.
REAS,in the 4th Paragraph of said will I devise
to my daughter,Martha B.Say,three (3)adjoining tracts of land
in Cross Creek Township,llashi ngton County,Pennsylvania,known
as the Joe Vance Farm of One Hundred Ei€2'ht (108)acres,more or
less,the Hattie Lee Farm of One Hundred Twenty-three (123)acres
more or less,and the Allen tract of five (5)acres,more or
less,and
VffiEREAS,I also bequeath to her the livestock,farming
equipment and machinery on said tract at the time of my death,
I now hereby revoke the devise of said three (3)tracts
of land and the bequest of said ,personal property to be found on
said three (3)tracts at the time of my death,and I wish to dis-
pose of them,as follows:
I give and devise to my wife,Anna ary Dunbar,the
aforesaid three (3)tracts of land for and during her natural
life,and at her death,I give and devise the remainder interest
in said tracts to my daughter,Martha B.Say,her heirs and
assigns forever.
I give and bequeath to my wife,Anna ~~ry Dunbar,
absolutely,all of the livestock,farming equipment and machinery
which may be on the aforesaid tracts at the time of my death.
I do hereby ratify and confirm my said will in every
other respect.
